AH has made it very clear he is not interested in club-hoppers and parent-agents. You are either with OC or not. There are plenty of skilled girls wanting that ECNL roster spot. Play the waiting game at your own peril.
Boy, if this doesn't sound like a load of crap I don't know what would... Your "right to roster" is nothing more than an intimidation tactic. Until my kid signs a contract, you have no authority over her at all. Implied threats of losing a roster spot have been part of the youth soccer landscape for years- it's nothing but bluster.

By this age every coach in town knows who the players are by name. FKK and FCA were calling the same girls trying to recruit. Anyone who thinks tryouts are some sort of double-blind anonymous process are either extremely naive or in denial.

Besides all the bashing of OC and Fkk on here. All I can say is congrats to everyone who made a team. I am extremely impressed with the talent. OC have to hand it to you. You set a mission on your girls ECNL and accomplished it. Also at your purple levels. I do not mean to sound shocked but nice job. ECNL will be a fun crew to track. Listen this is great for Central Florida soccer to attract talented teams whether it is Fkk or OC. Good luck to all girls.

I will wait to see results before I declare them champions.

True, the sideline conversations and sly discussions have been going on for weeks. I won't say it's "rigged", because my kids have benefitted from the early recruiting system, but the fact is that tryouts are much more limited than most know.

That makes it sound like it is some type of conspiracy. Actually these coaches have seen virtually all of the girls trying out in game situations. They have coached against these girls and have a good idea of their skills already. Their job is more to see what additional unknown talent shows and make the final selections.

True. Most know the top players in the local area. Just seeing if any new talent travels from farther out. Seemed like a lot of former FCA girls will be on the ecnl side.

OCYS has steadily improved. They seem to have their act together now and are drawing some good numbers. Beside the long line to take money, I think tryouts went pretty well.

Yes the Purple team will be strong but what I worry about more is the development of the player. I did not see the development of the girls at OC or FCA last year. Good teams but from start to finish their play did not improve. You can have speed, size, strength but if you can not control or pass the ball, it will catch up to you at U15 and up. Do your research.
So how many girls from FCA made the U14 ECNL team? Did many from last years Pre-ECNL team get dropped?

                      "OCYS has steadily improved."

A triple digit negative goal differential for four teams in the ECNL SE Region is a real sign of steady improvement. Drawing talent is only part of the battle. Now the girls must be trained and developed to compete in ECNL. Not something OCYS has been able to do thus far.

OCYS is a lot of things, good and bad, but steady is not one of them.

With the hostile divorce, they were destined to be weak. Most of the quality older girls followed their friends and coaches. You are associating improvement with wins. As the organization has improved, which is very obvious to all except the stone throwers, quality girls will gravitate over. Short of a major organizational disaster they will grow and field quality teams. You can let your emotions rule, but logically they will be a dominant girls program. Can FKK do the same? Maybe, but with OC having ECNL, which is recognized by all to be the best route to success, it will be tougher each consecutive year. I hope over time both clubs can develop many quality players. That could only be good for our community.

Then go ahead and roll those dice hoss. When you are trying to explain to your weeping daughter while it was smart to wait out your options, my girl will be playing ECNL. This ain't GCF Pal. 64 kids showed up for 22 roster spots. Now I ask you, what th f*** are you going to do?

Hey D-Bag. Go look up your own results from ECNL in 2012-13. You stunk up the SEC and started the cellar dweller club and are first ballot for hall of shame. Your girls sucked so bad it was a blessing to have them leave. Cranky parents and no talent - it is a miracle OC survived the first year with your ugly ass on the sidelines.

ECNL is all about wins. Win and you get better visibility in ECNL showcase events. This equates to choice fields and prime game times to be seen by college coaches. If you can't win, you won't be seen.

The best talent in Orlando without proper training and commitment will be a repeat of last year. OCYS has yet to show any understanding of how to improve. Some of us remember the brain trust of BP, SC & the penny brought in to run ECNL teams.

Understood. The point was that a very weak team was kept together and given purple instead of attempting to improve it with anyone except a few that did not make ecnl.
