If the Coalition didn't want to prevent OC from providing free soccer to anyone they wish, then why did the email I received from the Coalition say this, "Use of the 14 proposed fields for Orlando City Soccer to run these programs is not needed and in fact makes no sense. Children that qualify for these programs are underprivileged and will be unable to travel to a remote field away from school to play during the 5-7pm evening hours. These programs, if implemented, should be held on school grounds and existing clubs within 15 miles of the schools should be given the opportunity to provide these programs." So the Coalition wants the fields, and if the programs for under-privileged kids are implemented, they want them to be conducted at the schools, and the Coalition wants to provide the programs. The Coalition opposes OC conducting the programs at the local schools - they want to do them. So your Coalition is preventing OC from "providing free soccer to anyone they wish." But the Coalition isn't saying they want to conduct the programs for free. That wouldn't count toward meeting OC's requirement, and the Coalition can do the programs on their own if they want to do them for free. The Coalition wants either OC or the County to pay them to conduct the programs. They do not want OC to conduct these programs.

OC plays Mount Verde Academy all the time. They also play against many of the other teams outside of the DA at OC. Please provide the rules you are stating here on TS.

OMG seriously where does some of this crazy gossip come from, really need to check your sources. And by the way hope you waste your time going over to Central Winds to watch OC play FKK there is no such game so you'll be waiting a long time. TS is open to post whatever you choose to post but it has become nothing more than a source of total gossip much of which is false and that's on all the threads not just this one.

Yes, really. OCYS didn't buy 1600 kids. The kids weren't owned by CFK. Those kids had the right to play for any club in town. The registration fees were for the next year, and OC had to hire coaches, pay for fields, referees, etc. to provide the services those kids were paying for during the next year.

But that isn't the point. The point is that CFK agreed to a merger, and then didn't get their way so they tried to back out of everything. They wanted the kids back, the fields back, ECNL back, the CFK name back. But they weren't going to give any money back. And then they complain when OCYS hires lawyers.

So once tryouts were over, why was the lawyer running around to the likes of Maitland, CDL, FYSA and other trying to prevent FKK from forming? If all those involved at FKK were so lousy and horrible at their jobs why not just let them form and let the results speak for themselves?

Your answer really doesn't matter, you either are in the know and are here to sway the conversation or you have no clue and are here to spread rumors you believe to be facts or twist facts to paint the story in a way that you want to be painted.

All I'll say is if it's about the kids why not just the results speak for themselves. One club plays at a higher level yes, the other doesn't so what! are the kids happy? Are they getting what they want out it? If the answer is yes, then great, it's no then move on and good luck finding what your looking for.

The fact that you throw insults repeatedly proves my point. I don't think getting rid of fkk is desired. The problem is they can't give up what they sold. There were lots of choices when starting a new club but trying to take back what they had was more important. They could have focused this year on their club but it has been a vendetta against OC. They focus on hate. What happened can't even be disputed or changed at this point. If I read all his stuff correctly, it was all about the area of town that was chosen to start a club. Why not just go to another part of town. Is it about the club or the location? Has fsa not had fields at central winds for years? Why would OC just hand over what it had from 2 mergers, not just one. It isn't about who doesn't get along with who, it was about making good decisions for the club. Maybe the first one doing the merger then the second as not looking for less controversial practice fields. You could have quietly built your club and helped kids. It seems to me you enjoy the controversy.

an ECNL Affiliation can not be "sold". It is not supposed to be "transferrable" as a simple product. Your analogy is garbage.

ECNL officials: " ECNL would not be in Florida without Hue Menzies". ECNL had to receive assurances from CFK and OCYS that the policies and practices of CFK (the club awarded ECNL membership) would be continued after the merger. As with everything else he's done, Phil hedged and didn't hold up his end of the bargain.

That's why ECNL put OCYS on probation last year- they were seeing that after former CFK staff left, everything was falling apart at OC. Incompetence. Neglect. So OCYS got mad, sent their pet lawyers and the Gypsy after the new club FKK.

Since last year, many other central Florida clubs have discovered that the Corporate Clown Car is not what they say they are. That's why the Coalition was formed.

Go on the Orlando City website and take a look at the people they have hired. How many of them are related to Phil and his 3 wives? How many of them are former players? How many of them are wives or girlfriends of fomer players? How many of them are just friends with the guys in charge.

Ultimately Phil will fail, utimately Phil will take Orlando for a gigantic ride just like he tried to do in Austin.

Orlando better wish upon a star that either the Brazilian or Disney take over this mess.

Why do you say that? Because I highlighted a sentence that would have been ignored if I wouldn't have highlighted it? Or because I pointed out the fact that the Coalition only wants these programs to be conducted if they are being paid to provide them?

The post I was responding to said that no one was preventing OC from providing free soccer to anyone they want. I quoted the email from the Coalition that says that they do want to prevent OC from providing these free programs, even if they are done at the schools. If you disagree with my post, then please say so.

OC is on a recruiting mission. OC is trying to destroy FCA. FCA is a old club with deep roots in Central Florida. Does OC care?

OC should concentrate on their own kids.

I your an OC parent beware that OC is recruiting girls from FCA which in turn puts your daughter off the ECNL program. OC should concentrate on developing their own current children in purple not recruiting full teams from FCA. This is shameful.

You are beyond stupid. We have been saying on TS for over a year that we want the best boy and girl players on DA and ECNL. That is how you build a winning program. Some will come from your club and some will be developed by OC. We really don't care. If they can play, they can play for us free. All players and parents in ECNL and DA know that they have to earn their spot every year. Isn't it that way in every sport? Or does your club hold roster spots for Mia and Landy because of their loyalty and devotion to HM?
