And you say the FKK people are crazy? Why would they not be welcomed if they wanted to come play in what is supposedly the best club around? If they aren't any good, you have nothing to lose. If they are better, why wouldn't you want them to help your struggling ECNL program? And you wonder why the rest of the world can't get along with OC? Comments like your last sentence keep proving why people will continue to look at other clubs.

C'mon. You really believe OC has more idiots like this than any other club? I am with OC and the person saying don't come back is a childish idiot. They are at every club I have ever been around in every corner of the state and in even numbers. FKK, FCA, RUSH, Tampa clubs, Jacks clubs, Miami clubs all have equal number of idiot parents.

I agree with you that the players should play the best players which is why my daughter will be trying out at FKK. I am not opposed to OCYS and would love for her to play ECNL because of all the advantages that come with it, but not if the team isn't competitive as my daughter would have to train with the non competitive team every day and that is where most of her development will come from. So until OCYS improves, especially in my daughter's age group, there is no reason to try out at OCYS. I honestly hope this changes in the future because I do believe in ECNL but for now OCYS isn't our best option.

The drive to OC is not worthy of the development. OC Politics take center stage and frankly tired of the lazy pathetic attitude at OC. OC has been gifted ECNL on the backs and sweat of others. Get over yourselves OC and try to do the right thing for once. Remember we are talking about youth soccer and kids NOT Money and Politics. Be NICE for a change. Stop no one from enjoying the beautiful game. Karma is a bitch.

Right on! Karma takes a bit out of your backside on the downtown church issue and if you do not allow kids to enjoy soccer well then Karma is bound to get you again!

Hard to disagree with this. There's over zealous parents at every club. But the OC parents really take it to a new level, particularly with the MLS/DA/ECNL stuff. Fact is that MLS isn't here yet, and it's supposed to be separate from the youth club. As for DA and ECNL, everyone knows those leagues were earned by other clubs, then taken over by OCYS.

A little more humility and less marketing would go a long way toward earning the respect OCYS seems to demand as a birthright.

To the contrary- we're very happy to have walked away from the chaos and incompetence of corporate soccer. It was absolutely the right thing. Our new club is expanding and prospering, while you guys are still promising it will get better "next year"

Keep yourself where you are. OC has been outstanding for my son. It is absolutely been better run than any of my previous youth club experiences. Is there room for improvement? Ofcourse. I truly believe that the goal of people on this site is to try and steer people to their respective club. Well here's my plug, if you have a good player, he needs to be at OC. My son is challenged and loves it.

I am not the original poster or Greg. I don't even think its debatable that OC has a superior boys program than any other club in central FL. On the girls side they have some work to do, but the boys is a different story.

You know you are the demented one. I don't hear any of this from him but I do see my kid getting the best training he has ever had from a coach. Good coaches attract good players. They also attract a lot of criticism and that is why when I read this crap, I know it is just crap.
