Despite what people may say, the truth is they would probably do the same thing as far as leave and do my own thing. Everything else after that with regards to talking smack and taking players is a matter of whose side you are on.
So you have a guy who is fired from OC, decides to start his own club and takes several disgruntled OC players with him. Up until this point, I am fine with it. The problem is the FKK fields are inside the 15-mile rule and the two clubs (OC and FKK) share the same practice fields.
FYSA Rule 102.2 - No new affiliation may be granted if the new affiliate’s home field is within a fifteen (15) mile radius of an existing FYSA affiliate, unless the new affiliate obtains the support of all existing FYSA affiliates within the specified radius.
The fact that FYSA allowed this to happen makes me lose respect for our state's organizing youth soccer body. If one guy decides to game the system, then what is to stop the next one and so forth until you have clubs with affiliates all over the place. You want an all-out recruiting war? Guess what. FYSA just condoned one.
The simple answer would have been HM to move his new club to Chiliotta or some other area where he could be in good standing with FYSA. Instead he gamed the system, dared anyone to challenge him and it speaks volumes about the ego of the FKK BOD to allow this to happen. It will be a very interesting FYSA board meeting this summer.
FYSA can either step up and do their job as organizing body or they can appease and lose all credibility of enforcement.

I just wish all the clueless people who weren't there would quit trying to offer useless and worthless opinions. It just prolongs the feud.
Central Florida Soccer Alliance is the incorporated entity dba Florida Kraze Krush.
http://www.corporationwiki.com/Flori...135335814.aspx
The link clearly shows they were incorporated on March 20, 2013. That is well before your girls left OC. Unless you would like to claim they did not finish the ECNL season which concluded on May 27, 2013 - a full two months after the incorporation of FKK. So yes, everyone knew HM was creating a new club. TS was full of the chatter and someone even started the FKK thread back in March 2013. Go to post #58. It clearly states the new incorporated name as Central Florida Soccer Alliance. Convicted by your own club's smack talk dad. How does that feel?
So yes, FKK flaunted the rules and OC called them on it with FYSA. I would not classify it as poaching as most of the girl were ECNL which is US Club Soccer and not subject to FYSA rules. It would apply to the younger teams that play under FYSA. The bottom line is that OC does not want families that are not happy. They would have gladly released them had your girls wanted to go to Rush, FCA or some other established FYSA club. But when you have someone so arrogant that they think the rules do not apply to them and set up shop where they want, they need to be called on it.
Had HM just taken the club east a few miles, much of this would have been settled by now. Instead, you have adults more intent on beating the system then on providing your soccer to the area. Are you going to tell me you would not have driven your little Mia 5 extra miles to practice soccer? You know and I know and many on this thread know that HM saw himself as the righteous organizer of youth soccer in Winter Park and Oviedo and was not going to move out of the area. I think that speaks about the character of the man and his BOD. They truly believe they are the righteous founders of youth soccer in this area and entitled to organize and play where their pompous arse desires.

So go ahead. Tell your story about the clueless OC Directorate. Tell us again (ad nauseam) about how your daughter and family were wronged by the Darth Vader of English Corporate Soccer. Tell us all the broken promises, the bonehead moves and the dirty dealings of "The Purple Lion". Then pile on with vile comments about displacing churches, commandeering public playing fields and taking tax payer money to stuff their fat corporate bank accounts.
Don't you get it by now? It is all hyperbole. Everything has been vetted. The facts are the facts and no amount of spin will change what I clearly posted. Facts. Not opinions. Facts are the downfall of the FKK story.
BTW - This is not personal. Nobody faults you for leaving. Hell, some kids change clubs every year. I know one girl who has played for FCA, Rush and OC in the last TWO YEARS. Nobody is on here calling out those players. Nobody cares. You go where the best opportunity is for your daughter. End of story.
The problem is HM and the "Central Florida Soccer Alliance dba Florida Krush and Kraze" organized during the 2013 season and started operations before the open season. We all know the coaches were recruiting FYSA players over to FKK before open season. We all know that the FKK home fields fall within 15-miles of other clubs. So just be honest and then we can move on. It was a dirty move by a bunch of entitled soccer coaches and you were hoodwinked into believing their spin about bringing community soccer back. 5-miles dad. That is all HM had to do. Move the damn home fields 5-miles and you would not need to affiliate with Maitland, you would not need to defend much of anything. You would be just another youth soccer club. You don't see OC on here attacking FCA, ACYS, SOS, Deltona, Deland, Ormond Beach, Port Orange, SCU, HC, GOU, Rush, Ocala, Lake County, BSA, Indianlantic, MUSC or any other FYSA club. Hell, they partner with many of those clubs for DA and ECNL. But FKK and their new coalition continue to spread lies, rumors and hurl crap at OC.
You don't realize that you are actually isolating yourself. You don't understand that by defaming your former club, you are actually hurting your existing club. Everyone has heard your story and all your accusations and nobody is buying it. Time to move on. Play by the rules and you won't get slapped. Tell the truth and you won't get served on TS each and every day. Life is too short to live in the past. Time to turn a new leaf dad. Your girl will be just fine. Your club may get some major sanctions, but your daughter will not be impacted one bit. Enjoy your spring.

If OC was intent on preventing FKK, they could just outbid them for the Winter Springs fields. Same thing ACYS did to FCA. Perfectly legal and acceptable practice as sanctioned by the municipality and their RFP bid system. If Phil is such a monster, why doesn't he deliver the death blow to FKK by taking their playing space?

You can go to gotsoccer and see that the Maitland Krush teams have no history and have not played any games up to date. I do not know why the Maitland BOD agreed to this partnership. Even if a Maitland Krush team wins their respective State Cup title, everyone in CFL soccer knows it was FKK skirting the rules and had nothing to do with the Maitland Soccer Club.

I don't think the MLS portion and the Youth soccer portion are as tight knit as everyone thinks.

And you can claim what "everybody knows" until your face turns purple (although your tongue certainly already has, given where it's been). apparently what "everybody knows" has been amply demonstrated by 9 local clubs banding together to oppose the Corporate takeover. Being among 7,000 members represented in the Coalition doesn't exactly make me feel "isolated" either.
but no worries, I'm sure Phil will issue another BS memo soon to paper over what's going on. You can follow blindly as you wish.
Enjoy your spring as well, Dad.

Board of Directors Meeting
August 2, 2013

iv. New Associate Affiliates
Central Florida Soccer Alliance – Joe Avallone and Tim Geltz spoke about the need
for soccer in the East Orange County area, growth plan, and local sponsorships. Craig
Pole and Greg Brick highlighted various issues including poaching charges,
deceptive practices and 15 mile rule. Chris Mills supported all OCYS arguments.
CFSA field location falls within 15 miles of Orlando City, not FC America. Denied
based on 15 mile rule.
So those are the facts. FKK violated the 15-mile rule, was denied membership in FYSA and did a deal with Maitland to get their teams in State Cup. Why? For one reason and one reason only. HM and the BOD feel that Winter Park and Oviedo is their turf and were going to locate their club inside OC's 15-mile radius regardless of rules. The sheer arrogance of that move cost them plenty. 5 miles dad. All HM had to do was move 5 miles. You know the parents, including you, would have not had a problem driving the extra distance to have a legitimate club in good standing with FYSA. I can tell you in fact that the FYSA board have had enough of the "Hue Rules" in CFL and chances that club will ever get affiliation this August is less than zero. So he finds a loophole and gets around the 15-mile rule. Stroke of genius right? Tell that to the kids who did not have a league to play in this year. Tell that to the parents who have been shuttling their kids to practice since July with only a handful of tournaments the entire year.
I can also tell you that US Club Soccer has taken note as well and the "Father of ECNL" is not in good standing with that league. That is why they dished him the FPL PDP. There will be more shenanigans in that camp and he will be run out of US Club Soccer as well.
HM just suffers from "smartest guy in the room" syndrome. He thinks he is above it all and regulations be damned. Regulations are drawn by committee and voted on by the board. So he is not just skirting a rule or two, he is giving FYSA and all those people who devote time to organizing youth soccer the middle finger. He is doing to do it his way and is burning bridges along the way. Oh well, I guess some would rather go out in a blaze of glory than play by the rules.
