10-0 thats a U7 score on small goals. Embarrassing.

ECNL vs just a normal club...... Wow a normal club.

    ECNL is losing creditability.

200 plus college coaches talking this weekend spreading the word.

Time to start a proper league.
    losing are mounting.

Non ECNL club scores 10 goals -0 goals for Orlando City ECNL U16s

If your a girl playing ECNL for OC you may not want to brag to much with college coaches. LMAO

If I'm a parent I'm not guest playing at Orlando City. Bad idea!!!!

You never have a second chance to make a good first impression

Not a huge fan of OCYS, but the team they played is ranked #1 in the nation on Got Soccer, and has won or come in second in the big tourneys in the country. As far as the ECNL league and a non ECNL team beating them. The league is not based on one team at a club, this club happens to have two teams at this age ranked in the top 20 and another ranked high in one other age group, but that doesn't mean they are complete. Who knows, maybe they haven't even applied to the ECNL.

Here's the "recap" from the website. Looks like OCYS had both Purple and ECNL teams entered at CASL- so if the previously -reported goal differential is correct, it was a major smackdown for the club. Looks like they dont have any interest in reporting their results.

I also noted the estimate of "30-40" college coaches at each game. This is a straight-up load of crap and typical OCYS propaganda. anyone who was there (I was) knows the truth.

Which fields were you at? I can't speak for the OCYS games but on Friday afternoon there was a lot more than 30-40 coaches at my daughter's U17 game. I would put the number at 50 on the low end. There was a U17 ECNL match on the field next to us which had as many if not more watching.

We had 80 profile sheets on hand for the weekend and handed out two thirds them on Friday alone. For the rest of the weekend we handed out an older version. I have no idea how many were handed out in total but it was a lot, certainly more than any other event we've attended. Many coaches come and go and few stay for more than a half but the number of coaches present was impressive. Probably the largest congregation of coaches that I've seen between Jeff Cup (U16), Disney (U15, U16), and CASL (U15, U16, U17) over the past three seasons. Having the College Cup in Cary the same weekend certainly helps.

Now I suspect that if you weren't playing at the main CASL complex, the number would be much lower but that isn't any different than what we've seen at Disney. If you're playing at EWWS, you will see coaches. If you are at one of the other sites, you might see a few who are looking for specific players.

Despite the results we had some players who really stood out. Hopefully they get calls soon. I watched part of another clubs game and there were next to none!

And why do you think all those coaches were at your CASL game? Maybe because you had the ECNL event playing next to you? I was at the main fields for a couple days, and while there were a decent number of coaches at many games, claiming a consistent "30-40" is simply hogwash- and typical of OCYS spin to hide the poor results of its teams.

Good luck to you, and congratulations for being among the smart people who apparently didn't get sucked into the English Clown Car.
