I agree with the poster who said this is a serious matter. what action has OCYS taken with regard to this incident? Is any action contemplated by FYSA?

Hoping the U15-16-17 can muster up their first win of the season with 10 matches to be played this weekend hopefully the Lions girls can get a few wins.
Surly with the time off they have been training hard and preparing under the OC system of play and by the weekend we will all see the improvements.

Not kidding the article is on their site now. Steve Rammel the ED of club photo is attached. Looks like it's been on site since Friday the incident happened Saturday.
Words and actions words and actions. Whats that saying. Actions speak louder then WORDS on a website.....

Regardless of what was said (people can speak their mind), in my book whoever takes it upon themselves to assault someone else first is at fault. Anything that happens after that by the other is self- defense.
- the coach was abusing the referee.
- the coach was sent off the pitch by the referee
- the coach entered the pitch (some said "charged)
- the coach confronted the referee and continued the abuse.
There's no rationalizing or escaping the facts. again- this should be more than enough for his dismissal by the club. What is the club doing?

- coach being sent off? Big deal
- coach entered the pitch, again big deal.."some say charged", well that's heresay and probably fourth hand information
- by saying "coach confronted the ref and continued abuse" I think you are being dramatic.
You keep mentioning abuse but I am unsure what you mean by that. I have been to many games and definitely see coaches get mad at the ref for what they see is a bad call. I don't equate that with "abuse". I'm sure they are both big boys and can handle verbal sparring.
Having said that, I think the coach should have said what he needed to say and then not engage at all with that ref. He should have had a cooler head.
If there were no charges filed by police (there is no report according to SCSO), then I'm not sure this is cut and dry. As far as what OCYS wants to do with him, who knows? I have seen this and worse from all sorts over many different clubs.

No one I know even discusses the other teams in the area very much but it sounds like someone spends a lot of time discussing ecnl. As far as our coaches, well it is mass improvement from last years staff. We have consistent training and travel plans.

The key moment here was when the coach entered the pitch after being sent off. It is, in fact a "big deal". He initiated the confrontation. Eyewitnesses have used the term "charged", meaning he was being aggressive in his approach to the ref (once again, violating the rules by setting foot on the pitch).Trying to excuse the behavior by claiming he "didn't throw the first punch" is specious.
This whole controversy could be easily dealt with by Orlando City. They should dismiss the coach, apologize to the ref, and send a clear message to all members that the club stands by the FIFA laws and FYSA code of Conduct.
The longer it drags, the more the club looks bad, IMO. Like it or not, the coach was representing OCYS. The club's actions can speak volumes either positively or negatively.

Teaching girls to play direct soccer does nothing for their future. Don't try to spin things. I am not with FKK I have a child at Rush and a child at OC. I am sure the rumors will start flying now! The quality of coaching and the help and support at the events cannot be bought from local coaches. Until OC fires these guys and hires quality coaches that just want to coach and not be political the club will always be what it is. OC can complain about the other local coaches but they are not claiming they are not what they are! OC is a political nightmare from the technical director all the way down. Also let's get this out into the open. They promised to pay everything for ECNL and they are actually only paying for the kids they must have in order to survive.
