So? If a taxpayer writes a commissioner and expresses a negative opinion of the funding, you're implying what, exactly? Sounds like a veiled "we know who you are" threat. Typical intimidation tactic, and not really surprising.

what's sad is that your position on economic issues for the City of Orlando is being led by a grudge you hold against the youth arm of Orlando City, the only chance Central Florida has of an MLS franchise.

What is sad is that you don't see that MLS will fail. Tampa and South Florida have begger soccer markets and a longer history and they failed. Professional sports in Florida do not survive. You are asking the city to dive into something that will fail. The economic impact will actually be very negative on the city, think Detroit!

If you want MLS so bad move to Portland

Don't give me 20,000 people as you already know that OC has been documented to lie about attendance figures. More like 10,000

You are so bitter you can't see past the end of your nose. Whose butt is up? Did you go to the game?? The entire lower bowl was full and then spilled into the second tier. You really need to get off your bandwagon. Soccer is more popular now than it was 15 years ago when the mutiny were here. Things are changing in the states. You are the one falling behind.

Is Orlando a lock for a MLS franchise?

maybe the poster meant professional soccer with the Miami fusion and the rest who failed to make it.

However wouldn't it be nice if the local soccer community got behind OCSC and even when they are not a dominant force show up. For me that is when it matters when the team is losing will the fans be in their seats.

what's even more sad is you and the other sheep don't care about making sound financial decisions and sound strategic decisions for the city- because you simply don't understand all that "business stuff". All you know is you like to go to soccer games and wear your scarf and bang a drum, and if someone assures you it will work, you swallow it hook, line and sinker.

what's sadder still is that you are in the vast majority, and we'll learn another painful lesson in Orlando.

At least have the integrity to admit that the 20,000 attendance was a Championship game with literally thousands of free tickets handed out. Was it good attendance? Absolutely. That doesn't mean anything for regular season in 2014.

Meanwhile, still riding high after setting a league and club attendance record for their championship win on Saturday, Orlando City today launched an online petition for fans to sign stating, “I believe in Major League Soccer (MLS) in Orlando!’ The petition is located at OrlandoBelievesinMLS.com.

The goal of the campaign is to hit 15,000 signatures by the beginning of October – though the site already had nearly 11,000 signatures by 9:30 this morning.
