I looked. I can't find anything about Labor Day- just the OC CUP on Columbus Day. Please post info for the Labor Day tournament the other paster said had been cancelled.

Also, can we get a list of clubs participating on Columbus Day?

PR would run over all our kids tomorrow if it meant getting MLS and a stadium. You know it and I know it.

Does OCYS know who runs their youth club? Is it PR or somebody else? I think that is a fair question.
I can tell you that the same guy who has been overseeing FCA while they kicked the crap out of your teams is now with the Youth Program. He brought some of his coaches too. That would be AH and he has owned you punks since you were a bunch of Winter Park mama's boys.

A couple of things come to mind, we are getting a 70million dollar stadium for our 20 million dollar contribution. They can't pick that up and move it. To me it sounds like a deal and I am a bargain hunter. The ability to have concerts there, etc is more than enough incentive. I have read how much our tourist tax is putting into the new performing arts center. I attend those functions but the uber rich invest in that and yet they still get funding from our tourist tax without a fight because we don't pay attention. Sports is for everybody and to be honest the performing arts is for the wealthy. I would rather allocate some tourist money to a stadium we can utilize even if soccer left Orlando. It would be more manageable than the massive citrus bowl to say the least.

The stadium will have upkeep so it's not just 100 Millions dollars initially. Upkeep can cost millions of dollars per year. Who pay's this expense.

If you want to watch equal level soccer why not go watch a UCF mens game. Div 1 soccer in our back yard

excellent point on UCF mens soccer. Most all of these USL-MLS pros players come from college anyways. We are not talking Messi or Pele here. Come on. MLS is 95% college players if not more or older Pros from other countries that can't perform anymore in their respected leagues. Stop kidding yourself. Did anyone watch the MLS all-star game last week.

Gotsoccer should give you the list if OC has posted information. Call the OC office tomorrow and ask them to give you the list of teams and clubs participating. You might get a pause

This is personal for you guys, I can see that. But why not support something that will thrive in Orlando. This would be a stadium you could actually walk to from downtown. You wouldn't walk to the citrus bowl on a regular game, and please don't waste your breath saying yes. We could utilize a 20k person stadium. So lets talk about where the money is actuly being thrown. The crappy citrus bowl that we are on now. They are getting ready to throw 200 million at that plus the annual up keep and I don't hear you boycotting that.

Lets get to what is really bothering you, not the money but that Phil is bringing Mls to our city and not you and your bunch.

You are right it is personal. Phil is using his power to hurt children. I have children so it is personal. Very much so.

When you mention his name do you hear the announcer from the Super friends in the background go "Meanwhile at the axis of evil"

Using his power to hurt children nice! Trust me you don't sound like a whackadoddle at all.

Yes- we have one boondoggle (the Citrus Bowl) and now they want to build another. That makes sense to you?

If I was convinced it would "thrive", I'd be a happy supporter. But Phil and Buddy just keep throwing vague assurances up and numbers out of thin air. I've seen this movie before- I'm against it because it doesn't make economic sense. The fact is they don't NEED our money- they just want to mitigate their own risk.
