OCYS is trying to buy any soccer entity that has players registered including adult leagues. After purchase they will increase fees and embed a season ticket to OCity games. These embedded tickets are counted as season ticket sales. The only reason the Purple Lion is dabbling in youth and recreational soccer is to improve their ticket sales to gain an MLS franchise. He uses your kids to do that and makes you believe he is better than some English guy that comes in to make money off your kids as well but the english guy will also give us Mls and a new stadium. This college scholarship thing is so much hype, as we grow, our kids exposure grows and more of our kids will go to bigger better schools. It is a product of growth and being seen. Lots of kids have always gone to college on scholarships. Wake Up Folks! PR is out to make a living. He is using your passion for soccer to try to get us the taxpayers to help him build a stadium for his team. It is a private enterprise, and if he wants to build a stadium and have a team more power to him, but not at our expense. He will try to give us MLS, and he may succeed but if he doesn't it will be off to the next town and leave you again with FSA. He promises you a chance for your "boys" to get a professional contract playing soccer if you just follow him. The professional soccer path is so much hype as only .02% of the kids playing soccer will ever play soccer professionally. He will continue to dangle the prospect though so that he can milk us out of more of our hard earned money. There are obviously alot of HM bashers and there are obviously alot of PR bashers and everybody is entitled to have there own opinion, but only one has actually helped kids out in the past and will help a kid out in the future and that is HM and only has any experience in youth soccer. Made the mistake of trusting that certain people were willing to drop their personal agenda and work together. Also put some people in places they didn't belong. Steve Rammel has been running the club on an interim bases and now is doing it full time. Great guy, very well connected, works well with other but not afraid of holding people accountable. Do you really believe SR is running the club or does everybody just beckon at PRs every call? From the outside looking in it looks like PR is running the youth club as well and SR isn't doing much of anything.
From the few parents I talk to that decided to stay at OCYS they still telling me they are having the same communication problems as last year like receiving an email about a parents meeting only 24 hours before the meeting happens and they are still getting CMs awful hard to understand unprofessional emails.Comment

The elected officials of Orlando and Orange County need to recognize PR for the carpet nagger that he is. He moved his operations here because the tourist tax fund is free finance money. Spending tourist generated tax funding on this professional soccer boondoggle is irresponsible.Comment
