World cups have nothing to do with this discussion. You can be world-class by playing and succeeding in the champions league.
Yes Ryan Giggs was developed at Man United, by a Scottish, not English guy by the name of Alex Ferguson. Some may have heard of him.
Also it should be noted that some of the best players in the EPL aren't English. Van Persie, Bale, Suarez, Vidic, Mata, Aguero, Yaya Yaya Toure, etc

Since you are so bent on proving to the world that the 4-2-3-1 works why are you still talking about the ability to go to a 4-3-3. Take a look at the US Soccer curriculum. They want you playing a 4-3-3. Look it up and read it.
The reality is the system really does not matter, ask any pro. The players matter. Yes you can go from 1 forward to 3, you can go from 4 backs to 3, yes you can make changes.
Your problem is you think teaching the kids the system and the structure is what what help them. Teaching the children how to play the game, how to think, how to make decisions, when, why, how and giving them the freedom and ability to do those things is what creates players.
At OC they do not allow players to think for themselves. If you are an outside back you attack all day. If you are a holding mid you stay and nver go. If you are and outside mid you stay tucked in, period.
Go back to drinking dude, you will be better off.

England does a fine job of developing individual soccer players, but for whatever reason they don't produce for the home country of England. I happen to believe many of the English players are a tad overrated (Hart, Terry, etc) The England National team continues to be the most overhyped and overrated team heading into World Cups and Euros. I believe alot of that is because of the English's inflated ego's of their fans & English media.

Ok so now we are getting into Scottish vs English are we? I am sure that they were all lumped together by the guy who posted first. However, I could point out that many managers do not have a lot to do with the players outsid ethe first team so I have no clue who developed Ryan Giggs other than an English club. I could have named many other Premier League players.
Yes many of the best players in the EPL are not English. There are many reasons for this including that English players command a premium in the transfer market. It is cheaper to buy from foreign clubs.
Finally, should I point out to you that in La Liga there are more than a few foreign players at the top level also?
Christiano Ronaldo (Portugal)
Lionel Messi (Arengtina)
Karim Benzema (France)
Dani Alves (Brazil)
Mesut Ozil (Germany)
Gonzalo Higuain (Argentina)
Luka Modric (Croatia)
Kaka (Brazil)
Neymar, Mascherano, Song, Falcao
The best leagues attract the best INTERNATIONAL talent. This is a problem for the national teams but it raises the standard of play in the domestic leagues.

Second... this site has become a site for parents to act like 5 year olds....in your case its an insult to 5 year olds... to bash on someones child. Seriously think about it. You have to bash on a kid to make yourself feel better about yourself.
Third.... my point was just because a parent can afford to put their child in a premiere club, doesnt mean they belong there. It is absolutely not an attack on anyones child but it is a leagues responsibility to fieldthe best team possible. Especially for a state cup team.
I wish the girls the best but it maybe a long season for them.
I feel sorry for you too. Maybe I am a hypocrite for getting offended because you think you know anything about me with one simple comment. However your one simple comment speaks volumes about the type of person you are.

Lahm, Boeteng, Neuer, Schweinsteger, Muller, Gomez, etc all play in the German league. The fact of the matter is the best English players play in the EPL, but IMO I believe they are a tad overrated and not as good as many think. I also believe due to all the foreigners that come to play in the EPL that it actually hinders the development of English players. Many of these English clubs go out of the country for their "superstar" players. I don't believe the EPL focuses on developing the English player that much anymore. The landscape of European soccer has changed.
The key thing to note is that soccer goes through cycles (as do all sports) ..... All at once a national team will suddenly have 5 or 6 top class players mature at the same time and then become a powerhouse for a number of years. Same thing happens in a club setting... at Man Utd for example Giggs, Beckham, Phil Neville, Gary Neville, Keith Gillespie and a couple more came through together.
They other thing to remember is that cycles end and are often followed by a barren period. I strongly believe that Spain will not win the world cup next year, they are already in decline.

No matter how many different ways this question has been asked nobody will answer how many kids OCYS registered after tryouts this year because it will confirm that they lost significant numbers. Then it will be spun that this was intentional or that club won't be impacted negatively with loss of 500k in revenue because clubs don't make much money on premier teams. No answer yet because the marketing gurus at OCYS can't figure out a way to make the huge drop in numbers look favorable.

OCYS did a horrible job of communicating last year at all levels. They were great about getting the message out to the public but often fell short on making their members feel like they were anything more than a revenue stream.
