I can't vouch for this but just based on my limited exposure to Alan Hough ... If you want to fly I bet they don't care. It doesn't cost them anything for you to do it. He spoke last night about High School and said he doesn't think girls should play but that he realizes they find it more important than club so they are working with high schools to make it work.

"Excuse me, Coach? I'm a little concerned that Mia will be missing so much school since she's required to be on the bus with her team Thurday and Friday then the following Monday/Tuesday. Can we discuss this?"
Purple Lion Coach:
"Who are you?"
Mom:
"I'm Mia's Mom"
Purple Lion Coach:
"Right. Well, if you want her to play at this elite level, certain sacrifices have to be made. Education has to taken second seat to matches".
Mom:
"excuse me"?
Purple Lion Coach:
"Or, you could consider home schooling. If that doesn't work for you- well, I guess Mia will need to find another sport. It's all about the patch you know".
<Mom walks away, a Director comes over>
Director:
"Who the hell was that"?
Purple Lion Coach:
"Another one of those crazy lunatics just like last year- all they do is complain"

I think the children are out of school, explains all the nonsense posts... Why don't you get your mom to teach how to be a good person instead of being so mean.

All you people need to get a life and stop scrolling through 40 pages of people bitching about their children's soccer club... seriously, this is scary.

Will it help them attract the best players? Of course. As will link to the pro team, the improved fields up at Seminole, the DA and ECNL status. All of these things are good for our kids and for soccer in Central Florida. To try to spin it any other way just makes you look bitter.
