"Alive"? well sure they are. Nobody expects them to just fold up and leave... yet.

The fact is that a large group of members- mainly in the Senior Girls Academy and ECNL- were dissatisfied with OCYS to the point of encouraging the formation of a new club so they wouldn't have to return to OC.

That's pretty significant, no matter what side of the issues you are on. If you also consider that OC could lose several hundred players to other clubs, it's a serious issue. If you add in the potential loss of ECNL in the bargain, it's an alarm bell.

OCYS will surely survive- it's in a way "too big to fail" in just a single dysfunctional season. But a club simply can't withstand year after year of eroding membership and bad PR- no matter what its facilities or professional ties are.

Lets face it competition is good for all parties. FKK has clearly got the attention of OCYS. If this helps both clubs strive to be better we the customers win. One thing is certain, before the board meeting a few months ago I don't think PR even knew there was an elite girls program at his club. Now someone wants to take it away and All the sudden it's important.

Just look at the hiring at OCYS- they recruited FCA's top guy to run ECNL. Had it not been for the FKK revolt and pressure from ECNL, it wouldn't have crossed their minds. I agree the compettiion makes for a better product for all us "customers".

So being on the 'club jumping' bandwagon is better? How many clubs have these girls been at? It's ridiculous. Here's a cookie, come follow me, and they continue to eat the same crap. Every year they change affiliations and every year they are told the same line of crap "This is our year, this is our club, etc.." and every year they move to another place because they just KNOW the grass is greener when in reality its not! If you don't help build your club and your team base you are wasting your time, which is what these CFKers and now FKKers continue to do - waste their time! ECNL was a huge waste of time for all of them! No doubt about it - it sucked this year - but instead of them becoming the solution, they have done everything they can to tear it apart. Jersey's inside out, protests against the club, really???? Where are their parents? Oh that's right, they are the ones who told them to do it. They could have quit any time they wanted to but instead they STAYED at OC and wore their uniforms and bad mouthed them all at the same time. These kids think college coaches don't look at their social media. I'd be worried of I were certain ECNL players and all the trash they put out there. Again, I'd ask where are their parents, and again the answer would be the same, they told them yes tweet it, post it, noone will care - well you are wrong and you have done damage to your kids. Step back and think about it. I would hope some of them are ashamed - kids and parents - but that's probably too much to ask of them.

I tend to believe that HM is the lawsuit happy fellow..."I am CFK. I was awarded ECNL....blah blah blah". HM mislead ECNL with those lies, along with the crazy over the top complaining parents.

IF OC is threatening lawsuit, they should. Just as in all business acquisition/mergers, the CFK name, logo, etc all of it was signed over to OC. Shame on HM thinking he can make new rules just because OC doesn't want him.

Aside from the unhappy/disillusioned customers (girls parents) and all their justifications and the broken up romance of the CFK original team, it boils down to this: HM an FKK didn't just go start their own club. They tried to claim CFK and rebuild a club/name they no longer have right to, with the tactic of maliciously destoying another club. FSYA, USClub, and ECNL should not support this kind of action.

You're stating facts that aren't in evidence. I certainly don't know- and neither do you- what the specifics of the merger agreement said with regard to the trademarks/names/copyrights, etc.

The new club is "Central Florida Soccer Alliance", dba "Florida Kraze-Krush". Are you aware of anyone claiming the name CFK? i'm not. As I understand it, HM and FKK are claiming OCYS is in breach of the merger agreement vis-a-vis ECNL. If the claim has no merit, than why doesn't OCYS hold tryouts? Why doesn't ECNL tell FKK to go to hell with their claim?

If FKK and HM have done something wrong- slandered or libeled OC, made an unfounded or spurious claim, or infringed upon an OC-owned trademark- maybe OCYS should step up and sue them. Wouldn't that have the effect of throttling their rival right out of the gate?

But the best they can manage seems to be silly and blustering emails that "set the record straight"- while avoiding completely the big issues.

I don't think any of them want to "jump clubs". I think we have no choice.

Sure, we could have quit 'anytime'. But we were told the Club would not refund our prepaid fees and would make it difficult to get our passes.

We tried to work with OC. We talked to our coaches, the Directors- in person and via email. We were ignored and blown off.

my kid is not damaged at all. She's committed to a good school with a decent scholarship. she didn't make a big deal on social media (I check), but she made her dissatisfaction clear in a professional way- right up to the letter she sent informing her coach she wouldn't be back for tryouts this year.

You know what? there's lots of families who didn't scream or yell or threaten anyone- but we're all tired of eating OCYS's crap sandwiches. Se ya on the fields!

Why doesn't FKK run ECNL but partner with OC just as OC runs DA with partnership with RUSH? if its ok for the boys side why not the girls side too? Wouldn't this serve the community better? Allow OC to get the DA program firmly in place and growing while allowing FKK to devote similar resources to getting ECNL back on track for our kids. Come on guys, this isn't that hard to resolve. Umm no. I would much rather an unbiased club run ECNL than one single dictator who has shown self interest over good of the game. OC should run ECNL just as it does the DA. That seems to be working just fine because the Rush people are not working against OC.

Complete vindication is taking ECNL with him as he has said all along. It's far from that!
