In the past every team we've been on at FSA, CFK and OCYS paid these costs.

We do agree more training is required for all. We believe those GB /CM teams should get 4 days. All other teams should also get minimum 3 days and 4th optional for either skills or SAQ (based on team level evaluation)
We also believe Boys and Girls should be treated equally for training opportunities.
What OCYS has done:
1. cut training to each and everyone in the club- compared to what we used to get at EOS, CFU, Kraze/Krush, FCA....probably every club.
2. FEEs have been increased
3. League costs and coaches league game costs are transferred to team accounts
4. Records show they WILL NOT pick from PERPLE OR any lower teams for ECNL or DA
- that is because they effectively destroyed those kids growth potential by denying training opportunities
Then few teams under SELECT Highly PAID Coaches are looking good by showing 3 days training compared to other teams 2 days. Reality is they have reduced from 4 days to 3 for few and
reduced 4 days to 2 for every other team at same level!

It has never really happened before, it must scare you what it might produce.

There may be a couple of teams whose coach has scheduled a 3rd practice but those are few and far between. Older teams will be on break starting sometime in October till January or February when High School is over. During that time they are still expected to compete in Showcase and other tournaments. And please no one come on here and tell us how great high school soccer season and training is.
I filtered and sorted that list. It shows U-9 thru U-12 Boys purple teams (GB and CM) having 3 times per week practices.
All other teams have 2 practices, including Purple Girls teams at same age level.

This is our general observation/speculation:
They have at least 6 (not sure of this number, can be more) full time DOC and Coaches. Some of them do not even come out to the fields.
If you just look at their resume, that indicates they must be fools not to get paid anywhere between 80K upwards....
80K x 6 = 480K. This is the problem. No wonder OC has to fund them.
Money and pay is not our issue. Our issue is getting under-served for our dollar spent!!!
The least easy remedy is for these DOCs to come out and start training the kids on more days.

That is BS - the second team U-13 only get 2 nights per week....EVERYTHING is reserved for the top team of GB....what a waste he is and how he treats the other boys. Like they are beneath him

WOW... you guys make REAL SOCCER PARENTS look and sound stupid...at U9-U13 you think the kids get BETTER because of club practice? It's on their own, I bet they don't even watch soccer on TV. How many soccer balls are in your home? Take the electronics from them and tell them to go and kick the soccer ball!!!
Keep blaming the Club and the Coaches for your kids shortcomings, do you blame a teacher if your student isn't doing good in school or do you HELP your kid yourself?...
Club practice most of the time is for TEAM training, Get better on your OWN...

If Club Practice is not expected to improve kids, clubs should close down and open our facilities for free access to all kids. Yes we can play on our own and improve in some skills, but this is USA and everything is controlled through CAPITALISM. Hence we are forced to work with the system.
Issue is smarter business guys come and steal our public funds and build their empire. Do it, but give back to our kids/community, don't steal with un-acceptable unfair practices!

This weekend is the first time I have been at the Seminole fields in a while, wow are they going down hill. You can tell that they haven't been taking care of them like they used to. Weeds are taking over in some areas and other areas there are patches of no grass. It's starting to look like it did a few years ago. Even the two fields all the way to the back right that were about perfect a year ago now are looking sad.

We now have MLS who cares about youth soccer! The DA is run by the pro club so any success they have can no longer be claimed by OCYS and ECNL is nothing but a headache with all the drama that seems to follow it. The younger boys are lead by 2 men that seem to have caused friction with many in town and all thoughout the club there are parents not satisfied with training opportunities and special privileges granted to few. Good times at Seminole Complex for sure so who cares about quality of the fields as we have MLS!
