this is good news, if true- for FKK.
I, for one, would like to see the result of the 'discovery' allowed in a civil lawsuit. FKK is only a few months old, but OCYS has MOUNDS of information in its servers and internal files. Florida has very broad discovery laws that could yield interesting facts. For instance:
-Was GB working for CFK and OCYS simultaneously?
-What did the Directors say internally about EQ and HM? What have they said about ALL the coaches?
-I wonder what the ECNL "deficiency letter" actually says?
-Did OC actually threaten legal action against ECNL anf FYSA? i'm sure there's emails and memos.
-What tactics have been undertaen by OC to prevent the new club from being formed, sanctioned, etc? Who was involved in those tactics?
-Who was involved in trying to prevent FKK from securing field space? what did they say?
-Does OC keep individual files for each player? I wonder if there's any particular notations that would be of interest?
-Maybe we could also finally understand the relationship between the Youth Club and the Pro club. are the finances intertwined? Are the operations intertwined?
-Looking forward to depositions, as well. PR, Brazil, The Gypsy, AH... Quite a cast.
This could be great.

I am calling bull**** on this rumor.
Myth busted.
OCYS suing a "non profit youth sports club" seems heavy handed, even for the fish and chip mafia.

by the time that stadium gets built, Mayor Buddy will be term-limited out of office, but he'll have a private box and a parking spot for the 2-3 seasons they play until Phil and Brazil- uninhibited by having any skin in stadium- will move the franchise to a more "soccer friendly" city. Then the residents of Orlando will have another monument to big government to remind us how expensive other people's fantasies can be.

I don’t think you understand how things work. All you’re going to find is what is written the compliant and the defendant’s response or answer to the claim. Most of these end in mediation anyway and closed to public. Plus OCYS is a separate legal entity (aka FSA) and not part of the pro team.
Relax FKK parents, you will have your new club but I do think a few things will change:
The name or brand KrazeKrush is intellectual property of OC via merger. So HM cannot use it for the new FKK or Creeks partnership. He can pay OC for it!
HM and other coaches will have a non-solicit notice. Not so much on the players but on use of facilities or terms of Central Winds. FKK is trying to get CW to change the agreement and I suspect OC is filing claim. The existing lease was part of the merger.
So parents you will have a club you just need a new name and fields. Plus, I hear Maitland is sour on the partnership already. So you might need player passes also.

Perception is everything, and the perception will be simple: "The English Corporate Soccer Cartel is afraid to compete with a small local startup, and deploys its high-priced legal firm to crush the competition"
I can't wait to read the Orlando sports press on this, and see Phil get cornered with a mic in his face. "PR- why are you trying to prevent the youth of Orlando from playing soccer?" Why are you using strongarm legal tactics against a small non-profit rival in the community?"
Then we can watch the press interview on TV the tear-stained faces of youngsters as they ask "why can't I pursue my dreams of playing soccer this year? i don't like the mean ol' British Lion Man"...
LOL- i hope this is all true- it'll be the biggest PR debacle in youth sports history!!

All you have left is childish garbage about passes and you can't have a name. How pathetic are you and your club when ENTIRE teams left without any guarantees? Nothing at all was better than the lies and unqualified coaches rammed down out throats.
You are sad and your club is pathetic.

Is this the kind of crap you OC folks want to be done in your name?

My guess is there is some partial truth to the rumor (evaluation of possible legal action, behind the scenes posturing, and the like), but it's another thing to actually file a formal lawsuit and start a complicated, messy and expensive process ... even if the case is eventually settled out of court.
If OCYS has actually done it, it will be the worst and most tone-deaf PR flub in youth soccer history. They thought the parents who left were being aggressive and obsessive over the ECNL chaos? Wait til the Laddies see the reaction to this little maneuver.

What about the debt that Ocys took on in the original merger. I'm sure they done intend to hold it now .
I would hope the original contract had language about that debt in it. Time to open your check book fkk parents .
