The turnout and talent last night at tryouts was outstanding. I'm not a big fan of OC but have to admit it was impressive. I saw girls from all over there. Even saw someone from FKK trying out, there may have been more.

It looks like all the calling and recruiting by FKK did not work as the numbers and talent showed up at tryouts. And yes FKK parents your coaches and director are working over-time on the phones trying to recruit girls. I thought FKK only developed and did not recruit.

Looks like ECNL is here to stay at OC. Time to give up the dream that HM was going to bring it to you.

Not affiliated with either club but I have heard that some will try out at both clubs then make a choice so you may see some faces from yesterday also at tryout at FKK. Don't know how that works because OC may want them to make a decision on the spot. How does that work?

The FCA rising 16 team was understandably doing everything they could to move most of the team intact. That opportunity was available at OC, since nearly everyone on the FCA squad was more skilled than what OC had last year in that age group. And sadly, that wouldn't have taken all that much given their winless season. But, this is still the essence of a team that was knocked out of State Cup in the round of 16. More power to them as they would probably not have been able to move as a unit anywhere else.

incorrect. I have never said that... besides FKK seems to be doing just fine- we don't need anything from the Purple Lyin'. Better focus on improvement, Laddies... the ECNL is watching and not pleased so far.

You don't sound very confident. Like you're trying to convince yourself. Don't worry. Everything's going to be fine. You'll get to wear your purple shirt, and you can go to all the fun MLS events that are exclusively for OCYS. You'll be able to post pictures on Facebook of your kid with Chinny. You don't have to stress out quite so much. Just ignore FKK. Pay them no mind. They'll never be as glamorous as OCYS.

Let me be the first of many to say that this group was entirely prepicked. ECNL was recruited. They were called by name, not number. OK. It will be good. Purple was filled with this years ecnl team. No other player was considered. Or even looked at. At all. Field was ignore the entire time. There were actually some good players there. Coaches did not even try to fake it. Did I mention the U15 ecnl team never won a game? Nice work OC. Still the same.

Sounds like the first tryout at OC when the merger happened with CFK. Could not get a coach to give us a looksie. They already knew who they wanted. CFK coaches were looking out for their own. I carefully watched the coaches faces and they knew who they wanted beforehand. Many good players were overlooked and they soon found that out once the season started. Held an ID Camp to correct it but..... Spent a year there and after trying and trying knew it was time to "hit the road Jack" if we wanted development cause the focus was only on purple. Been there, done that. Getting amazing development and then some now!!

You got one point right, there were actually a lot of good players there. Probably three teams worth of good players. The Purple team may be the second best team in central Florida next year. It is definitely not all returning ECNL players.
