What youth club has ever used an attorney in the past 30 years? Threatening the ability for kids to play soccer just because they want out of the English monstrosity.

Patti Henderson Appointed as Recreational Program Administrator
Orlando City Youth Soccer (OCYS) announced on Wednesday, June 12, the appointment of Patti Henderson as the Program Administrator for the Recreational Program for the 2013 season and onward. Henderson offers ample experience, with over 15 years in the youth soccer industry.
Henderson’s nomination as the Program Administrator for Recreation program provides familiarity within the program, as she was most recently the Assistant Recreational Director for OCYS.
“I’m excited for the opportunity,” said Henderson in an interview with Orlandocityyouth.org. “I think that the Recreational Program is a very important piece of OCYS. My goal is to create an environment where players become life-long fans of the game, and hopefully grow as individuals on and off the field.”
During the Spring season, Brian Pederson served as the Recreational Director in an interim role, but will not remain in that position after showing a desire to pursue other options in the youth soccer.
"Patti Henderson has shown an avid desire to build the Rec Program and take on a position similar to the role she held at East Orange," said Interim Executive Director Steve Rammel. "During the Spring season, Brian Pederson served in an interim role for the Recreational Program, and we’d like to thank him for his service. Brian has other goals in youth soccer and we as a club would like to support him moving forward."
Henderson began her lengthy career in youth soccer over 15 years ago as a parent volunteer and board member with former youth club, East Orange Soccer Club (EOSC). During her time with East Orange, Henderson and her fellow directors developed the organization as a recreational youth club based around parent volunteers and players learning the game.
Prior to OCYS, Henderson spent one year with former youth club, Central Florida Kraze (CFK). During her time with CFK, Henderson took on the role as co-registrar for the recreational and premier programs. Henderson’s duties included oversight of the registration for programs-such as the US Club leagues.
In 2012 Henderson transferred to OCYS, when both clubs agreed to a formal merger. The newly appointed Recreational Program Administrator was an original proponent of the merge, due to the benefits stemming from a pro club, and remains heavily supportive of the Orlando City philosophy.
“I saw the merge with Orlando City in 2012 as a great opportunity because I believed that having a pro team in town would be beneficial for all soccer fans in the area, and I still believe in that vision,” stated Henderson.
One of the first priorities for Henderson is to hire a Technical Director for the Recreational Program. The Technical Director’s role will be to conduct coaching education sessions, be a resource for coaches and players, and to over time assist in developing our youth players and coaches. Please send resumes for the position to phenderson@orlandocityyouth.org.

"The newly appointed Recreational Program Administrator was an original proponent of the merge, due to the benefits stemming from a pro club..."
“I saw the merge ... as a great opportunity because I believed that having a pro team in town would be beneficial..."
precisely HOW does a kid playing rec soccer "benefit" from the "pro club"?

GB, BP, HM, CM etc. - None of them are British. You have created your own mess Yanks. The myth of American efficiency and meritocracy is truly laid bare, you are all screwed up.
Bitter people like you who have never created anything substantial in your life would rather MLS did not happen in Orlando unless you were taken care of first.

We soccer enthusiasts would love to see MLS soccer here in Orlando, but that has nothing to do with how the youth club is being run. OC should have stayed out of the running of the youth club and instead should have left that up to people that knew what they were doing. Instead they put people in charge that didn't know anything about what they were doing but were good yes men. They didn't and still haven't, I don't think realized that you can not go about running a not for profit the same way as you do a business that you formed as private. We are not looking for OCYS to fail, we are wanting OCYS to run for the betterment of our kids not for the betterment of OCSC.
Good luck with MLS soccer. I don't care unless they fund stadium themselves.
