OC has bitten the hand that feeds it and now basically needs to eat some crow, apologize, and beg for their stadium money. Really, what a stupid move to nickel and dime the County this way and further alienate all the other clubs. Getting millions in tax dollars and paying back pennies on the dollar; just do it without all the strings attached and nonsense and be grateful for the stadium.

glad to see more people having the scales dropped from their eyes. Phil's transparent monopolistic move is finally make more understand his motives.

Good old Phil has a formal presentation and than his legal agreement with the city has different wording. Classic Phil, say one thing and do another and say we made a mistake.
If they want to provide free soccer why are they not doing it in Downtown right now. Why have they not started these programs. The need is in that area more than any other and they have fields downtown. These kids will never make practice at night, after school is the only way. They don't need permission from the county to do it, they don't need a contract, the fields are always available after school.
Simple answer, they don't want to. This is a scam. The needy kids will never make practice from 6-9 as their parents cannot get them there. Phil wants the fields to shut down all the other clubs. It is very clear.
How is any of this good for the game? How is tearing apart other clubs god for the game?
Before you defend OC and attack FKK you may want to look at how many clubs are supporting this. By the way I am not from FKK
This new world order is NEW to any commissioner they only see one side of Phil and the side Phil shows is that of a donator a giver for the poor. Come on people open your eye's…… Scary times ahead if we do nothing but sit back and wish it would just go away….

OC has reached the end of their expansion. At this point it is all down hill.

They will step on anyone, including our kids, to get their millions.
Look for the last 4 Central Florida Clubs to join forces bringing the numbers to well over 15,000 families. Good luck OC.
Someone should contact MLS and bring them into the loop.

Someone needs to write MLS an Email send them links.
Bad business if these rumors are all true.
I'm holding off on season tickets.

Orlando tax payers have granted via our Commissioners millions in tourist Tax to Orlando City for the building of the stadium.
Mears buses have been secured for 2015 opening MLS game.
150- 60 passenger buses have been secured for 2015 opening game and detoured to MCO and Sandford International airport.
60 times 150 buses = 9,000 tourist flocking into the stadium all will hotel and foods needs..

Do our Politicians understand the business model of Orlando City youth soccer club? I'm positive with all the conversations that PR has opened up telling them of his intentions and business goals.. Ya Right. Better to push thru and ask for forgiveness later. The Motto of OC.

If the coalition isn't asking for anything, then what is in their alternate proposal?
If the clubs in the coalition want to provide free soccer, why aren't they doing it now? They say they have been around for 40 years, why haven't they already been providing these programs? They don't need permission from the county to do it, they don't need a contract, the fields are always available after school. If your club isn't providing these programs, you don't have the right to criticize someone else for not providing them.
I realize that OC wouldn't provide these programs if it wasn't in their contract, at least not to this extent. I'm not naive. But that is part of their agreement. In return for receiving the funds, they have to provide these programs. It's part of the tradeoff that the government was willing to make. Was it a good deal for the city/county? Probably not. Government isn't known for making intelligent decisions.
I don't know how much money these clubs pay in field usage fees or how much scholarship money they provide. Give me a few minutes and I'll see if I can find any information.
