It looks like OC has made a lot of friends along the way. Of course, they haven't done anything wrong though..... Poor OC. :(

The ironic high point of the above post is this observation:

" Everyone is fighting for space, especially on lighted fields."

And that, friends is the heart of the matter. OCYS has 12 fields that it can't use at night unless they spend a few 100 grand. They want taxpayers to provide lighted fields and they want guaranteed prime time use for THEIR members.

Phil and Greg got caught being too clever. They thought the rubes of Orange County wouldn't catch wise to the scheme. Thank goodness there's people watching with the guts to say something.

It is so apparent that FKK wants all the fields and contribute nothing to the County's initiative to bring soccer to the masses. The only people HM wants to bring soccer to are naive parents who fork over more money to fatten his paycheck. You are fooling nobody FKK. Step up and do something for kids who will never give your club a dime. Step up and teach a kid the game whose parents will never write you a check. You won't do it because you can't. You are not interested in growing soccer unless it lines your pockets.

Unless you want to expand your little franchise outside your 15-mile radius? Could it be this is all about what HM always wanted which is a super club in CFL? Good luck getting any time on any new field unless you agree to offer free membership to poor families, not just families of talented kids. We will see that happen around the same time as Orlando's first outdoor ice rink.

Gotta love how OC wants to think that a Coalition is all FKK .... It is every area club. These clubs are happy to work together and let one another exist. What they are banding against is not just the field issue, but OC's fight for a 100-mile homegrown rule - for those of you that haven't bothered to do their research - OC wants to be able to find a diamond in any club in a 100-mile radius and take them for their own. It's not about disadvantaged kids. It's about that one star.

It is the Orange County clubs that have the biggest beef and they are spearheading the opposition. Yes, FKK is a part as are Deland and other clubs that feel all clubs should be allowed to thrive. The OC/FKK Hatfield and McCoy feud is really being fed by purple paranoia.

10 plus Central Florida clubs have a strong dislike for OCYS and the arrogant attitude they have brought to the community. These clubs understand the who they are now dealing with and are NOT buying the crap any longer.

Frankly speaking I've not heard HM or JA even talk about fields. They are seen on the fields nightly helping our children. OCYS can say what they want. The more aggressive they pursue these gentleman the more support they are shown by their faithful.
