So your saying that they walked into the merger talks making demands of OCS and got them. Seems to me OCS could have said NO, wonder what compelled them to take on the structure that was proposed?

Coaches running the club instead of the board?
Lack of overall success at FSA?
FSA's inability to manage their debt ?
FSA's dwindling membership?
CFK's acceptance in ECNL?
CFK's 4 teams in State Cup Final 4?
CFK's 1700 kids?

OC has a business model and it's evident that they felt their best chance of achieving success was with the structure and people they chose to put in place.

Let's look at reality. Mr. Rawlins has made a lot of money as an successful businessman. Do we really believe he can't handle some coaches and an FSA board run by a county building inspector. Give me a break. No need to get freaked out.

Stay the hell out of Brevard. We have our own problems and don't need this mess. I'm not an FSA sympathizer, but I wouldn't want anything to do with CFK either if their U13 girls team is a reflection of the club.

Whatever you do though don't stop posting on here its helping me get through a slow Friday.

If that place could be cleaned up it would make a great complex, and I bet the city of Cocoa would be willing to help in that effort.

Just my humble opinion but from what I understand the deal with FSA was done a while ago. The deal with CFK is what's being held up because the board needs coaches approval. I think FSA is Orlando City Youth with or without CFK and ECNL. This means DA(deal with Rush) and pro team would stay. This also means only people getting screwed is HM and his token board. If this is true I would bet CFK has a hard time getting teams beyond the ECNL teams.

Oh yeah, I'm sure Rawlins and Pederson would be just THRILLED to be left with FSA, that impressive organization and the sought-after coaching staff- plus half a claim to a DA program.

I for one would love to see them come to Brevard. Understand this DA is the way of the future. Look at the MLS clubs, almost all have DA's....As obnoxious as CFK is, quite frankly they get it....What have we accomplished here? Seriously? we have 2 or 3 good players on eight different clubs here. How do we expect to compete with north and south florida let alone out of state clubs with true academy teams? Over half of their players accept D1 scholorships. I for one am sick of losing to them....I can tell you right now, come tryout time my kid absolutely will be there!

Two sides to every story. CFK is just as culpable as FSA if this is true.

Please do tell how you are blaming CFK for this. This was a BOD meeting with OCYS where there weren't any CFK people. Were CFK people put into place in the new club, absolutely they were. Why would OCYS give any authority to a group of people whom they just bailed out less then six months ago. OC gained controlling interest per their press release in FSA when they bailed them out of a tough spot, why wouldn't they protect their identity(their company) by putting into place the people that they felt were best to manage and continue to progress "their" club. FSA had been run into the ground by this group that is so intent on keeping HM out. The reason for that is because they haven't been doing their job at FSA and know that OCYS staff including Hm, GB and BP will not put up with it and will get rid of them. DA and ECNL is not just about the kids playing the games, it is about the whole structure of the club. It is not just about the teams that play but about the training for the youngest kids as well as the staff on the field and off. FSA has no structure to support either program and OC people know this. Check into how much paperwork has to be done with the DA program, who was going to do that at FSA, BH. FSA coaches are showing their true colors to OC now, they are trying to cover their hides, they could care less how it effects our kids. If they had a brain amongst them they would understand that after this grandstanding that they are doing they have effectively shot themselves in the foot. Why would PR and the management of OC have anything to do with this group going forward. If this is the way they are going to act then they are not going to be in place long either way, I doubt that PR got to be a succesful business person by being bullied by a group like this. Hopefully it is all worked out, but again to me they have already shown what they are made of.
