This isn't for you to fork over $100, this is a great way for you to teach your child that there are less fortunate people out there that might need a little help at a difficult time in their lives. I'm sure that you can help your child find a way to find other people that will help these two programs out. Nobody "mandated" that you donate $100 out of your pocket, just like no one has mandated that you buy a season ticket to watch Orlando City.
Is the $100 donation tax deductible

    No it is not.

This not about charity, it is about subsidy.

If you are mad because a promise was made to you that wasn't kept...that's on you for being a fool.

Grow up. Unless you are a child then I apologize for saying ass and the acronym as well.
Did I hit a nerve? My kid plays on a team still in state cup and plays most of the game. ODP player as well but I couldn't care less if they play in college as long as they graduate college. I also sponsor a kid on another team but I'm far from rich.

Does any of this qualify me any special privilege? Nope but I'll speak my mind anyway. He makes too much money on the backs of people who can't afford it.

You read part of the material but not all I guess. if you think that just the kids on the black teams are getting scholarship money then you are wrong again. The money is used for rec kids also, seems to me you have other issues besides this fundraiser and are just nit picking. I personally think it is a great way to help out kids in our community whether they are playing on a black team at CFK or they are in need of something for school. It also involves a sport that I have passion for and maybe your son or daughter does also, so maybe if you gave them a little guidance they would like to help out.
A little guidance to you. First and foremost there is no rec kids getting a scholarship when the yearly fee is pennies compared to Black, white, red teams and I am pretty sure few second and third team players are getting much if any. Second if you read the promotional material most of the money goes to CFK Donna Lewis fund. Very little will go to the homeless kids who are more in need of food and a roof over their heads than in need of a soccer ball. Give to whatever you want to give but it should never be mandated. As for me it is my desire to provide funds to kids that need it most. Playing on the black team is not a necessity in life. If you want your kid to play on the black team get a job and pay for it.

HM will coach all the teams and collect 5 salaries because HM said so. In fact, do they really need anyone else on the payroll?
Too funny. Can't wait to meet this guy. Does he have his own personal box at Disney? Should I look for the CFK wrapped Bentley in the valet line? Is there a statue of him on Red Bug Road?

Interesting. Well my prediction for whatever it is worth. GB will step down from boys to take over his old girls team who will be playing under ECNL. His U13 boys will be taken over by CM who is his monkey boy. Since GB's boys team is already established CM does not really have to coach since he can't anyways. And since U13 boys will be somewhat weak in the state next year CM will win state cup because just like in region cup he will really have no competition to play against. He will win state cup and people as well as himself will think he is a great coach. And GB. Well GB is GB. Its all about GB.

Does this club also have volunteer hour "requirements"? Mandatory donations? Oxymorons.

                  Good grief!

For sure GB will go back to coaching his girls team since she will be ECNL age. With all the travel with ECNL he'll have to step away from boys team but he'll keep his hands on it somehow.

If you give a large enough donation it buys your kid a spot on the A team.

You want on scholarship fine, then someone from your family will man the concessions each weekend. You will help out with younger "rec" teams or ref based on your age.

Give a little to get a lot
Let's look at HM's U16 team. One of the players on scholarship, who HM also funds to play and pays NO team (& tournament) fees, which means that his portion falls on the other parents. He has not attended one fundraising event, attended less than half the practices, did not attend one SSP session, missed games and did not notify the coach he would not be attending, and has to be driven around to all team events. BTW this is also the kid who HM overlooks bringing illegal substances to at least two tournaments. Now that is more than enough reason to shell out $100 for this MANDATORY fundraiser. Have been carrying this kid for enough time. I am done with it.

He makes too much money on the backs of people who cant afford it...Did I see you at one of the occupy protests crapping yourself and putting it on a car?

I think that poster is the one who hit a nerve when they hit the nail on the head with you...you are jealous of somebody elses success. You shouldn't be as life is all about choices and you perhaps didn't choose wisely...Don't get too upset I bet your husband thinks he didn't choose all too wisely either.

Asked in the meeting last night "where would your teams be without scholarship players", hopefully better than 24 - 28th in state cup like the U16 black team, huh HM??!!
