CFK just won the u11 girls President's cup for the 3rd straight year. Every team made it through to state cup except one. 1 age group had 2 teams make it through. HM is an A licensed coach who has taken a dysfunctional CFU and gotten ECNL in 2 years. He has coaches at UT, and was a doc at one of the top clubs in the country. EQ has won more state championships than every coach in Orlando combined and he did it in S Texas. AV is a college coach and EW was a college coach and a huge asset. JA has won a PDL National Championship.

    Yeah sounds awful.
Yeah but CS was a professional roller-skater. Beat that.

BH has been in Orlando for 15 years coaching girls. HM did in 2 years what BH couldn't do in 15. Nuff said.

For all the talk about how CFK isn't ready for ECNL, the 95, 96 and 97s played 5 ECNL teams in a showcase in Dallas. They went 2-3. Scores were :

        3-2, 2-4, 0-1, 2-0 and 0-2.

Seems respectable to me. This league is so much more organized and competitive than other options. We are so excited for the change!

In some clubs 1 coach coaches them all (u15-u18.) the games don't conflict, are at the same location and ECNL events ensure coaching time conflicts don't happen. 1 coach coaching their team is ridiculous and parents won't like not being able to manipulate some daddy coach by buying them beer.
Your point validates the original poster. If ECNL reduces the need for the quantity of coaches than who stays and who goes?

You had me until you stated, "AV is a college coach."
Takes more than the title to really be a coach.

It doesn't reduce the need for coaches in the club but HM and EQ will certainly do the ECNL teams. Other coaches could do pre-ECNL and state cup teams. I am making there will be record number of kids at try-outs. With merger and new players I'd be surprised if their arent 4 teams at every age group.

Ummmm, if you buy me beer, I can be manipulated, and I won't be your kid's coach, but you could call me daddy.

HM is the Exec. Director at CFK, correct?
When did he starting coaching the girls teams?
Isn't the DOC supposed to set the performance and training expectations with coaches and teams?

Four teams at ever age group is 80 kids per age group. I don't think there are 80 girls in the area in some of the age groups.

Look at every ECNl team in the country and see who coaches the ECNL/Academy teams. I realize you probably have years of GCF soccer watching experience thus making you enormously qualified to talk about this, but I think you will see the majority of ECNL teams are coached by the doc's.

One tournament that had 5 ECNL games does not equal an entire season at the bottom of the ECNL standings. The CFK teams are some of the best in Florida, but don't compare to the ECNL clubs across the country.

Could be a very tough year as CFK gets plowed but some tough competition in ECNL?

Ditto Mr. fellow GCF watcher! If you do not know what you are talking about then just be silent!

Some of the older age groups will not have 4 but some of the younger ones could have 6+. CFK has 5 at one age group by themselves. I would think at u16-u18 ou would probably have an ECNL, a state cup and a regions cup team.

So HM is coaching the ECNL teams.

                                What happens to the others?
