You are correct about the playing time, whatever the % is. However, where you are wrong is... The club reserves the right to move kids up and down at any point. If this is not in your contract, then you are at a town club, not a premier club. It's really that simple. End of story.

I never think it is a good thing to leave a kid in a game when they are overmatched. It's the parent's ego driving this not the kid's. Getting minutes on the B team should not be viewed as a negative thing.

Weigh the team down? Oh nooo you are a real loser. Those surf teams are out to sandbag town teams and now cut the kids weighing the team down?! Listen if your coach offered a player on the team a spot and you think the player weighs the team down too bad. They made an offer. Your so damn entitled. If a player is not as strong of a player remember they too paid. Don’t be a jerk. The club made an offer to this kid so the club is responsible to move them along in the next season, but no not mid season. Coach made the mistake and coach lives with it. But you don’t crush the kids confidence mid season by cutting them moving them or benching them. You people are everything that is wrong with youth sports.

Well Surf fans and coaches beg to differ they could care less about your kid unless they are the high scorer, daughter of a coach, or one of the big girls who like to kick the ball up to the star forward. All other players are disposable. Large rosters, dad coaches, no pathway, no competition beyond town teams, and benching kids. It’s all about $$$ at Surf. I know many families who left their clubs to go there only to now scramble at various practices and tryouts of other clubs do they can leave. If RI is B soccer, Surf is the C team.

Bottom line is that LR blows. He may have become rich thru club soccer but he is a snake.
