Well Surf fans and coaches beg to differ they could care less about your kid unless they are the high scorer, daughter of a coach, or one of the big girls who like to kick the ball up to the star forward. All other players are disposable. Large rosters, dad coaches, no pathway, no competition beyond town teams, and benching kids. It’s all about $$$ at Surf. I know many families who left their clubs to go there only to now scramble at various practices and tryouts of other clubs do they can leave. If RI is B soccer, Surf is the C team.

Our experience at Surf has been ok to a bit of a disappointment for the mid team. Shocking some of the comments from the snooty top level team. Creating the unwelcome feeling is a major issue with Surf. We feel like they only care about our checkbook.
My major issue has been the travel. It is a bigtime grind.

bayside is the D team then. surf will always beat the pis out of bayside every single game. Bayside definitely has smaller teams than Surf but any good girl from u-little bayside team by U-13/14 has already jumped ship from bayside to much better competition so it becomes easy wins for surf against bayside. You guys always live in the past in u-little's when your teams were pretty good. Now as the bayside girls get older the teams are basically glorified town teams who could never ever beat any good team.

as posters get on bayside playing in the useless IMPACT NPL league as their top league-joke!!! at least at Surf we actually play games, unlike you guys.

Good point the good Surf players won't make that jump because their parents want them to be the big fish in the small pond. Winning at lower levels makes these parents happy. That's why they join Pumas!

Can someone tell me what town NECONN, DIGHTON-REHOBOTH, FC ALLIANCE, AND MACH 1 represent in Rhode Island? Not to mention, CLCF, SMITHFIELD, CUMBERLAND, and EAST PROVIDENCE, all have near full club teams in Super Liga. How is that any different from Pumas? I guarantee those towns are not playing those teams up as much as the Pumas are. And NO, all the players on these 8 "club/super liga" teams, do not roster only girls that live in their town they are representing. So I guess it's ok to have a roster of 80% club players, that do not all live in the town the are representing, as long as they do not win? That seems hypocritical to me.

The only reason none of these organizations are not called out, THEY DO NOT WIN AND THE PUMAS DO. There will always be people that want to see the ones succeeding, fail as soon as they possibly can. Envy, breeds jealousy, breeds hate, and you people don't even know why you hate them so much. Never has a puma team come on here and gloated until attacked, PROVE ME WRONG PLEASE!!! And most of you knuckleheads on here don't even know these Puma people. You just relay what you think to be accurate or relay what someone who tells you that they "know", tells you. Go play REC if you don't like the competition.

Smithfield Superliga teams have hardly ant premier players on them at 1. most of the teams have zero premier players. they have 15 Superliga teams and 10 NEP teams with almost zero crossover between the two groups.

All those life lessons ... teams verbally abuse other teams ... plays dirty when it's competitive, etc. I wouldn't let my daughter ever play for that guy. Anyone hear what his Puma Classic team did to Middletown? Calling girls terrible names. Playing keep away half the game, taunting them. All with LR smiling away. Surf Pride!
