EXACTLY why LaSalle keeper shouldn’t be even suggested as all state. Very athletic yes, just like another keeper we are all aware of by now, but has NO idea of setting defenses or any aspect of the game. Says nothing during games and usually is standing with her arms folded.

I can say this, the whole “saves” aspect is a joke considering they have the Pilgrim keeper ranked 7th with 148 saves. Are you really serious? Dominated in D2 while teams couldn’t get out of their own ends. This sounds like HS Soccer in this state has reached the idiocy of the RI political scene. Stats aren’t even real and there is no fact checking.

Schools should use the official definitions put forth by NCAA (not sure if NFHS adopts or has it own), but it would still be subjective. Same issue with assists.

I don't think stats matter that much when the coaches meet - they pretty much have their lists and it's just a matter of some deal making on the margin. Not really a better method given soccer doesn't get enough coverage by sports reporters.

No, they get cancelled when RIIL worries about the gate receipts and LaSalle worries that it might give an advantage to the other team..

After looking back at the past All State teams it seems you are wrong. There are 2 or 3 forwards, 3 or 4 Mids, 3 or 4 Defenders, and a GK. Exception when D2 whined for a GK or playervto be put on 1st or second team taking away from a much better D1 player

And that goes back sev years. Mixture of players. I agree there is really not a perfect way to pick the All State team. I’ve heard, as of late, that the coaches really don’t want to pick All State (like the boys) and leave it to the Projo.
Problem with that? Projo will call a few coaches and they will end up picking the team. So what can you do?

It's a bit curious since the point of postponing was the field, not the weather (never a discussion of cancelling the football games) so you could have moved it for Saturday; yes I know football semifinals were on Saturday so the usual suspects for fields may have been being used, but there were no other places to play 3 games..or RIIL more worried about its gate?

I mean, I guess $3M (plus the injury fund has $3M) and a million dollar endowment -- and this sketchy investment of public money in a private school consulting firm (see page 25, Section VII) isn't enough..
