agreed....scituate has a couple of good kids, but pilgrim's offensive talent would wear them down

let's not forget, most of d1 was average to poor level of play this year so the "middle of the pack" included a lot more teams

...which is why teams seeded 4-10 were almost interchangeable on a given night

Scituate didn’t have an average goal scored of 6+ over the season. Pilgrim would beat Scituate with ease.

First, there is someone in scituate who spends ALOT of time of TS. Family of keeper. Mom, grandpa, Dad....

Second, there isn’t one angry anti-Scituate poster out here, there are a lot of posters who are sick of the Scituate non- sense here and at the field.

you can't compare d1 and d2 scoring...apples and oranges (but, pilgrim could have scored a lot more but held back, which is the right thing to do)

they would beat the classless parents of scituate...worst display of sportsmanship ever at barrington game

Pilgrim was in D1 last year, they didn't do well at all and were in the bottom.

Best things coaches can do at this point are practice PK and work on set piece defense / offense. Hardly any outcome in D1 with seeds 4-9 and in D2 except for a Pilgrim loss will be much of a shocker. Barrington giving up a late goal to Cumberland though at home is a bit of surprise.

The 5 minute OT is silly; NFHS allows for 20 min total so why not at least 10? Another way USSF fails US soccer - it doesn't look at high school soccer as another venue for expanding and promoting the game so no effort for consistency in rules with NFHS and then state associations.

The leading scorers at Pilgrim, doesn't matter how much they have (supposedly) held back, would even be in the top 5 in D1 in scoring. NO WAY. I am not associated with Scituate or Pilgrim. NO NO WAY! They are bottom of the barrel D1 talent at best. So good luck trying to give them plugs. I suppose Johnston scoring ace would be tearing up D1 too. LOL NOT!

Seeds 4-9 are middle of the road. No shockers at all. Barrington...ehhh not as good as everyone thought. Maybe a little surprise with the Cumberland win.

5 min OT is idiotic. May as well go straight to PKs.

Unfortunately I see LaSalle and only LaSalle as winning anything. See everyone next year.

#3 seed as well. Not really that good. LaSalle and possibly a challenge from SK. Doubtful.

nobody was trying to give them plugs, just stating that they were stronger than scituate.

Pilgrim has a very strong group of underclassmen which contributed right away (which is doable for girls in high school, as opposed to much less maturity on boys side)

there was not a single elite scorer in d1 this entire year. Lasalle strong player was touted as the best, but in such a poor overall league this year she could not even flourish...face facts folks, it was a down year

Down year? Yes it has been. We have now witnessed the residual effects of watered down "Premier" clubs and coaching come to fruition. The state of soccer in RI is abysmal at best. It's painful to watch really. Sorry to hurt everyone's feelings but I agree with the person who posted this.
Premier, DA, etc... Give me a break! You paid for it and got nothing in return.

Great point! It's all about the money. Parents have it and clubs and coaches grab it and run before the next guy can. Sadly, the kids/players suffer in the end.

and the top one isn't even from RI..got to stop with the bad weather, etc. excuses - most of the top teams have players with years of club experience..not just a down year but the continued decline of youth soccer in the state..same old people at SRI for years and not a lot of results for the breakaway premier clubs to US club..
