Does anyone know if the RIGSCA has come up with a tie breaker for seeding for the playoffs?
I know last year it was a last minute thing that was made up by someone in charge.
Record vs opponents with a better record than you?
Hopefully the coaches are on top of this and can rectify this before playoffs get here. Doubtful. Lucky they can run a practice.

As far as last night's game, worth mentioning that LHS had to start their 3rd-string frosh keeper who can't be more that 5'0", there was some communication issues early and they allowed 3 goals in the first half. Second half was all Lincoln. I would guess 12 shots on goal, 3 that clanked off the bars. A win is a win but neither team is going to make any noise in the post season.
OMG... Cumberland Helicopter Mom is back? We thought you graduated?

There are a couple of issues for NK which hold them back every year and it’s the same this year. Their defenders tend to press and get caught on counter attacks. Not every team can capitalize on that but enough seem to. They also don’t pass the ball well. They have some players who carry the ball until they get crunched and turn it over. Playing a physical team like CW puts that on display and stops their attack. It’s the same story every year with different players. You would think the coach would have figured it out by now.

Coach prefers players who play like that; also doesn't coach situational tactics much (which is true for a lot of teams and an underappreciated use of practice time). NK is tracking to be 4 seed which means for them either a bounce in semis if they have to go to play LSA on turf field.

Interesting study for the data folks - worst corner kick defense is to put players on both posts (better to use the near post defender as close to the corner kick taker as the ref will allow).

Possible D1 and D3 title preview matches upcoming and for those who talk about lower division players with the gaudy stats for first team all-state, well, you have a good test when Johnston plays against arguably a D1 capable team in Pilgrim.

Pilgrim dropped to win an easy championship that's what's going on there.

LaSalle/SK still heading to the finals, there is not a doubt about it.

There are not any players at D2 or D3 that should be considered for All State. Such a huge dropoff their giant stats really do not matter.

NK lost 2 games and are near the top of the standings. How bad can the players or coaching staff be? Same has been said about Smithfield and look where they are? And Mt. Hope has been written off as "all done", yet here they come. Barrington and Scituate need to be considered too. The fight for 3-8 is a toss up for equally talented "good" teams.

Lets face it.... from day 1 we have said SK/LaSalle final once again with LaSalle winning the title. And it will be!
The rest are average teams fighting for the leftovers.

LaSalle easy pick to win it again. You heard it here first.

Someone will upset LaSalle this year. Most likely SK will be the one to do that. There are other teams with some potential. SK will be Champion this year.

Good try Johnston parent. Johnston player will not be on 1st Team All State. Would never have those stats vs any D1 team. Sorry that's the truth of the matter.
Agreed. Pilgrim could play in D1 yet preferred to drop for a championship. Booo

Doesn't matter 4-8..only possible upset is the 5 seed knocking off NK in quarters..either way 4,5 or 8 lose to LSA, It's about getting the 2 or 3 seeds..Smithfield - SK on a turf field could go either way in the semis.

Only two factors really working for all the others - crappy grass field at RIC and the PK format if match remains tied after OT. Field nullifies LSA's general better overall technical skill compared to other teams (and makes them more vulnerable to being contained in their defensive half off goal kicks) and GK edge to SK/Smithfield in PK (plus at the high school level it's a crap shoot when you get to the top teams anyway).

Guess we'll see today an early indication, but it's at LSA ..

Looks like Prout (although yesterday was an away game rain out) is down to 8 games in maybe 11-12 days...good job there looking out for your student-athletes..

What a waste of a season playing against public schools.

Oh goody, another LaSalle parent troll. Hey pal, you didn’t blow everyone out, in fact you only squeaked by Barrington, Smithfield and EG. It’s not like you are Pilgrim sandbagging in D2 and killing every team by 6 or anything. Trust me, we’d all love ya to take a hike to a MA Prep league so we could watch you lose all your games by 4-5 goals per game just to humble you all. Rooting for SK tonight!

You think the LSA administration cares about the challenging their teams in the sports arena? Catholic schools seeing a decline in enrollment - it's about appealing to kids to come there (hey, win championships at LSA) and satisfying the alumni/donors (do you think $M would have been donated to build their new stadium if LSA teams were just run of the mill in NEPSAC or other private school leagues)?

Don't forget - RIIL's first chief was a Catholic priest; the current director is a LSA grad and the one prior was a St. Ray's grad...and don't forget the current director when taking over basically said the recent work (in 2003-4) RIIL had done basically took care of the public-private school gap issue.

Ha ha. Cry all you want about this and that. LaSalle will have another banner this year too. SK couldnt and won’t do it in the end. Smithfield ? Barrington? Mt Hope? NK? Etc...? They are all town Rec teams or extensions of their rec programs. Do they really deserve to beat LaSalle? Are you looking at the talent? Everyone is missing something on that field. Technical ability and tactical awareness, not physical, too physical, I could go on.
If you think your player is good enough send them to LaSalle. They still have to tryout for the team. We don’t take everyone! Or are you scared?
We are LaSalle! Think... Premier vs Rec! Now stop all your sniveling!

This is one of the most pathetic posts I have read on this site and there’s been a lot to choose from. For your sake I hope you’re just trolling.
