I recall the discussion regarding LSA having some trouble with the transition at keeper (the new keeper is unable to clear the ball effectively which keeps the pressure on her and the defense).[/QUOTE]
Thats not the problem

CW has as many club players as Lincoln or any other program in the state. Half of CW played on the Rams the last few seasons. I also think it's worth mentioning when I saw Lincoln play they have at least three or four Freshmen who start and when I saw CW it was all Seniors and Juniors. We'll see how great the CW coaches are next season when they have to follow up their momentous 5-victory season of '15 with 3 returning starters.

I have a question about the quality of the JV teams across the state. This question is motivated by a comment I overheard about one school's JV team being "too good" (for the record, the varsity team is kindly regarded as average). Sometimes the quality of the JV team is not necessarily reflective of the quality of the varsity. Unfortunately JV information on RIIL is limited at best.
So... does it come down to the number of players available? Is it coaching? Is it as simple as schools that have a large pool of potential players (LSA, NK, SK, etc...) having better JV teams whereas schools with a more limited pool take the better players to varsity? Is there a false expectation for the schools that seem to have winning JV programs to do well at the varsity level?

Where else would you find the top 2 teams in a division play for 1st place and the result is Scituate 8, Ponaganset 1?
South will be interesting; although Prout seemed to fall off track badly with NK today, a win over EWG could put them ahead of EG who is fading with another loss to SK, a tough match with a Smithfield team that knows it needs to win and then at NK. SK has Hope who has Portsmouth on its heels and needs a win to be in the top 4..
and we'll see if CW can play spoiler and move out of the bottom seed with an upset..Should be interesting few days..
How does RIIL account for east with 1 less game..it is Avg pts instead of total pts? They should put the D2 winner up - would like to see Toll Gate play D1 instead of stat piling up on D2 teams..

Not pretty
Cumberland over Cranston, 2-1.
More cards for Cranston than they had shots on net.
Not a pretty game.

The South division is kind of a mess with no team wanting to step up and claim it.
I admit I have not seen LSA this year. Why have they been "beatable"?
