Will BV continue unbeaten, and can Smithfield finally get a win against a top team? Their tie vs EWG should be considered a true failure to reestablish themselves as a dominant competitor, especially if as mentioned they lead 3-1 at one point.

NK could barely get by a depleted SK team..it should be a close game, but NK has not faced a team that has skill in the midfield or put much pressure on its defense..should be a 1 goal match either way.. 1-0 or 2-1..

Bayview - don't underestimate good coaching..ask NK with 2 all-staters and the RI POY how a "not that good" Bayview team was during the playoffs..Bayview coach knows how to scheme against kick and run teams..

I don't think the final score of the NK-SK was representative of the game as a whole. NK hit 3 or 4 crossbars and had more chances overall (corners, etc...). SK's best chance came on an egregious turnover in the second half. If NK can avoid these types of mistakes it should be a good match up with Smithfield.

As for the NK-BV game last year, NK made a couple of mistakes in front of their young keeper and got in a hole they couldn't get out of. BV played well in that game.

Must be the Prout/Mt Hope referee posting. LOL Worst officiating ever. He did everything he could to get Prout a goal.. But in the end Mt Hope came out on top 2-1.

Actually the title worst referees ever goes to the two morons that did the NK-Smithfield game. In fact they should just name the sward after them. It had to be the worst officiated game I have ever seen. They should even be allowed to watch a soccer game let alone officiate one. I wouldn't let them do a U6 rec game. They botched almost every call on both sides. Players, coaches, and fans were thoroughly confused. Helen Keller and Ray Charles would have made a better pairing than the two misfits in this game. I understand qualified referees are a rare commodity but this was absolutely ridiculous. If RIIL actually cares about the product on the field then they need to monitor this stuff... atrocious. Simply and utterly atrocious. Utterly embarrassing to have these guys involved in the sport at any level.

they were probably the guys that were supposed to be at the EWG fields but never showed up. Must have had a few beers and then stumbled over to North Kingstown.
