If I were you I would go meet each of the the directors in person to get a true feel for the kind of club you are looking at. The internet is useful only to a certain point....maybe fun for anonymous gossip, anecdotes, or innuendo. But beyond that do your own research in person and then decide where your kid should train.

I don't believe that story at all! Trying to research on both teams and coaches for June tryout....I googled both coaches; BSFC coach has great accolades so does the one from BSU.

The current Bayside FC Bolts management all played fir Bayside under SD and then coached with SD. At one point they fealt that SD was too much about the money and wasn't putting any back into the club (ie training facilities and the like). Those coaches decided to wrestle the club away from him and pump all the money into facilities and coaching. SD then decided to start back up again with his current version of Bayside in Seekonk. Bayside FC Bolts so far have been as advertised, time will tell if they can continue. Financially, I hope they have a business manager worth his weight, because they are spending a ton on indoor and outdoor fields and from what I hear, not sure if it's true, they have a lot of "free rides". The free rides is actually a good business move I feel. Get the best players to join you for free, not too many can pass that up, and use them to build the brand and increase demand. Once the brand is established you start to cut back on free rides. If they can stay afloat financially in the meantime, the business model just might work. Looks good so far.

It's the system. Have you notice that all Bayside teams play or tried to play the same style of play. If TW coaches switch over and they adhere to the Bayside style of play the teams will do fine in the long run. It takes about 2-3 years to adopt a system. But can't guarantee all the players coming over will have a spot on the team(s). Just my take on it.

TW didn't excel any particular age group except u13 boys (one loss) and that coach is supposedly going to Bruno. I can see many of them following he is decent. Cant imagine any of the other teams leaving in a mass exit, except maybe the u 13 girls, I heard many of the parents aren't happy with the current coach

I'm one of the parents of the GU13 team that will be looking at other options after the season is over. It's kind of hard to be optimistic with the future when we practice at the same location as the team that won our division and we see the difference in the training. It's almost embarrassing.

He or she does not understand. SD runs a soccer school. The longest running soccer school in the area. The original Bayside was born from that school with all its students. He is a teacher of soccer skills first and always as that is his passion, teaching skills to kids. He will teach anyone with all his passion regardless of where they play because what he wants most is for them to be the best they can be.

FC doesn't have "all" the talented kids...maybe you need to come watch one or two of our games...they're are a lot more talented kids than just the ones on FC.......

so why did you lose so many kids and why are you playing in a tournament for town teams versus a tournament for premier teams? Afraid of the competition?? FC plays in premier tournaments.

At least they played in a premier division, not a classic with B and C town teams just to try and get a win. They aren't afraid of the challenge.
