Have you even played before in your life? 8 V 8 is so much more fun to play as a player you get the ball more as a player and get more touches on the ball. It is easier to play 11 V 11 if your child is lacking a good touch on the ball. 8 V 8 will give your Child the ball more where he/she will have to develope a much better touch and understand the flow of the game to find success. If your child is lacking these skills he/she will find themselves on the bench.
8 V8 gives you More touches=faster skill development=more FUN! 50% more touches in 8v8 as compared to 11v11 Increased game involvement; In a 40 minute game each player in 8v8 averages 6 min. 40 sec. on the ball, compared with each player in 11v11 averaging 1 min. 48 seconds on the ball.
When playing 8 V 8 you get Repetitive, age appropriate problem solving; players at U-12 think in terms of 1-2 degrees of separation. Learning requires repeated exposure to similar problems. Repeated exposure to defense; more stealing ball from opponent, more intercepted passes, more 50/50 challenges, more defensive recovery needed.
You also get Twice as many 1v1's in 8v8 as compared to 11v11.
1 goal per 4 minutes in 8v8 as compared to 1 goal per 20 minute at 11v11.
Goalkeepers receive more touches as well playing 8 V 8
8 V 8.

This is the second time I have asked and no one has told me anything about what makes their new team a great option.
I won't give you a positive review of any of them without knowing what ages your kids are. Why? Because I have had bad experiences with three of the four. I don't fault the Club though, I fault the coaches for the poor experiences. Some were terrible mentors, others had poor ethics/morals, still others made questionable statements that made me or one of my children uncomfortable.
I say it really comes down to the Coach for your child. All the Clubs offer basically the same "services" but how those "services" are implemented is up to each individual coach. Pick the Coach that makes you and your child happy and provides them the best learning environment (if they are young) or the best environment to allow them to be seen by a University (if they are older).

Soccer
I am asking all the people that use this forum to use it in a way that promotes the game of soccer, children are usually not the ones complaining about coaches, games, playing time, it is the parents.
Yes, not every child is a good fit for every team and not every team is a good fit for every child, that is why we have many options for our kids. If you are part of a team play as hard as you can and even more importantly practice as much as you can. If you have left a team, leave in Peace and take the next challenge whether it is a different team or even a different sport as a positive experience.
Also please note that a good coach will always believe that a player (especially a young player) can develop throughout the year and become a good player, this unfortunately does not always happen.
You always learn from all your experiences whether these experiences are seen by you as positive or negative.
I would love to see postings on different tournaments, etc. Experiences that people have had (good experiences) to promote the game of soccer.
For all parents out there that read this posting, please do not make any judgments based on all these postings. If you are interested in joining soccer whether Premier, Town, or Recreation give it a try by visiting the club, town, or recreation facility.

Very well put. You are right on the money. I am new to Premiere and what I have learned so far is to stay in control of the situation and communicate with the coaches, both the positive and negative. Then figure out if your kid fits with the coaches and program.
Thats all.
Thanks for the post, again well put.

Premier should institute a 50% play rule in U11's and U10's. That would keep the premier clubs somewhat honest as they would be more careful to choose players they can use and not just choose parents of players who can pay.
U12's and above your on your own let the buyer beware.

I like to know who said that..of course, an unregistered user! I guess, I'll do the same! ...next time you want to complain, get your facts straight! The team has 10 players that are doing well even with a loss of 7. The first girl left because she couldn't commit to the team and thought basketball was more important. The second girl left because her father thinks the grass is greener somewhere else. The girls that left after that couldn't handle the pressure of being on a premiere club team. Yeah, SD yells at games and when the girls fail to produce he gets frustrated..what coach doesn't. I have seen and heard worse on the field from the parents, yet alone the coaches. If the parents would let the coaches coach and let their kids learn and play...we would have better teams for our kids to play on, but every child is a superstar in their parents minds. BSU is still a growing club and has the best training I have seen in years. The girls that have started in the beginning with this team and that are still on the team, have improved tremendously. The ones that didn't improve, left. What does that tell you? Stop complaining and move on, oh yeah you did, good!!! And as far as another comment stating that the coach would blackball a child is more stupid than the parent that said it. It would never happen at BSU. If you want to compalin and keep complaining, go for it. If you find a club where coaches and parents don't care that ALL YOU DO IS COMPLAIN, join it!
