We are hoping DT smartens up and lets MY have both the boys and the soon to be u14 girls

DT would be best served by owning the Tidal Wave and letting YM be the director of coaching as he is that good and dedicated.

Whats the story? Don't understand!

Just to clear up the gossips and confusions on Bayside United and Bayside FC.
Bayside United was established about 14 years ago where Stacey DeCastro was the Director of Coaches and continued being the Director of Coaches until 2005. While Director of Coaches he coached several teams and brought in many players making Bayside United a club with around 14 teams. John Mark Andrade is SD nephew, he was treated like a son by SD. While SD was going through a very sad personal time in his life, John Mark Andrade was asked to run the club for SD. John Mark took advantage of the situation, changed the club into an LLC and listed himself as the owner of this LLC. By the time SD realized this it was too late, Bayside United was now Bayside FC and it was totally controlled by John Mark Andrade.
As far as finances, while Stacey DeCastro was on the board, finances were handled by the board. In 2005 the club's finances were totally handled by John Mark Andrade.
SD after struggling with the reality that his own nephew had stolen what he had worked for so many years, decided to start a new club. This new club is called Bayside United.

Bayside FC good too, just don't go to Bayside United if you want good training and a well run program.

Like Bayside FC, think they have some great teams, but,.....Bayside United has good training...that, you can't deny! That's why 1 parent from Bayside FC said that she wants her daughter to train with SD...another who's daughter plays on NEFC comes for private lessons with SD.. and, let's not forgot to mention another daughter who left the club last year to come back this year because of his training!! There are many more....so please stop bashing this club....until you get your facts straight. Parents just want advice on what's best for their child...all that needs to be said is go to the tryouts and check out the club yourself! Every club has a website...you have the time to come on here and post, you have the time to go on their websites and check them out!

Yeah, too bad Bayside FC is better and has better coaching and better training. They may go to United, but they won't stay unless your kid doesn't need any training.

You should be thanking SD, he did train "those better coaches" (or most of them)...what child doesn't need more training...that's why they stay!

For all the parents that misuse this forum bashing coaches and clubs, I'm just wondering are you the same parents that complain when a coach asks your kids to work harder at the game and consider that abuse? are you the same parents that raise hell when your kid gets bashed by other kids? are you the parents that complain when your kids get criticized by other kids. Take a good look at yourselves, you are just as bad (NO WORSE) than the kids. How can you tell your kids to behave a certain way with respect when you display no respect at all when writing in this website.
Get a life! Grow Up! You need to realize that your actions are worse than any coach, club, or soccer association can ever do. You have no regards to the reputation of a person, or soccer association!

What are the chances this club stays alive?

Pretty good if you don't believe rumors....WHy would anyone believe all TW coaches are leaving for Bayside..really? Bayside is the best why would they want TW coaches after all the Bayside parents say how bad TW teams are then why would they want sub standard coaches....This like so much on this board is pure fabrication

Interesting...but it seems to me if uncle was so great, based on his reputation, skill, etc. then wouldn't it follow that people would have flocked to his new club and no one would have been the wiser?

Based on the more recent success that Bayside FC has seen especially on the girls side, seems that the nephew grew a mediocre, mostly boys org., into one that was better for everyone, no?

Not sure about the validity of the background of the story, but I am sure there is another side to the story than the one side posted above....there always is!

Good clubs have a system of play

It's the system. Have you notice that all Bayside teams play or tried to play the same style of play. If TW coaches switch over and they adhere to the Bayside style of play the teams will do fine in the long run. It takes about 2-3 years to adopt a system. But can't guarantee all the players coming over will have a spot on the team(s). Just my take on it.

I don't believe that story at all! Trying to research on both teams and coaches for June tryout....I googled both coaches; BSFC coach has great accolades so does the one from BSU.
