Toxic! 8 state cup champs and what great passion and support by all kids in the club. What a great environment for Bayside this weekend at state cup! Great club support for the #1 club in RI.

Ego's get the best of people and that will be the downfall. Instead of thinking about the current girls, we get girls who just came to get a trip to regionals. Sorry but it won't be fun for me knowing our coaches sold our team to the highest bidder. We could have done it on our own.
I applaud your honesty Portsmouth parent. Ego's do get the best of the parents. How could their fathers use their girls as pawn's in a quest to only feed personal ego and their own personal self worth (aka manhood...lol) How could a father use their 12 year old daughter in such a horrific way? I truely feel sorry for the girls....I really do. The orginal Portsmouth team as well as the two additional kids added. What are these parents teaching their kids? Apparently, it isn't loyalty or commitment. Portsmouth is an excellent team on its own, they didn't need to be sold out to the highest bidder they needed to be respected for who they are; a great town team with a great number 12. I'm sorry your coach didn't have the confidence in your players, he should have. Good Luck in PA.

This is embarrassing and should not reflect our team. It's just a game and we don't profess to be the best. Stop posting and making us look bad!!!
        Portsmouth could never be toxic.

Amazing the way one of your mothers had a bubble of shame around her that no other Portsmouth parent would enter as she stalked the sidelines with her $1500 camera trying to capture a shot of little Mia socring a goal.

What were some of her better lines? "Score 10 more times and show those little girls who is the best". "Stop crying your little girl tears." These little girls are nothing." "Score!! Thank You!! Can we have another!"

Yea, people in PA are going to love her. I can't wait to see where some NJ father is going to shove her camera when his daughter gets heckled by her.

Loyalty does not exist in soccer. Check out how many kids get displaced on a regular basis on club teams. Very few kids get to Regionals. How many Portsmouth kids will even be playing soccer in 3 years. Sounds like the premier clubs are disappointed because Portsmouth worked the system. Find out how often club teams work the system.

Portsmouth coach is famous for winning. Loved winning that Superliga platter so much he did everything he could to keep his older girls from going Premier. Won a lot...development...not so much!

"Portsmouth worked the system" good for you, work it boy!! I'd rather be loyal to my team than "work the system"...... We can agree to disagree. What's that line? "Blood runs deeper...."

                  Loyalty in town teams exist.

Jumping town teams, (for state cup only) to only win a medal is a sad state of affairs!

Wonder how regular girls on the team feel? I guess coach doesn't have confidence in us to get the job done.
Congrats Portsmouth U12G 8v8 State Champs.....AKA....."Milli Vanilli" of SRI, will the real Portsmouth team come forward.

"Milli Vanilli" - Their success turned to infamy when their Grammy was revoked after it was revealed that the lead vocals on the record were not the actual voices....

I can't believe that no one has even mentioned the best part of this story. The dad of this particular player ( K.L) is actually the coach of her town team just over the bridge from Portsmouth. Why he didn't enter her team in the state cup is the question everyone should be asking. Instead he drove her over the bridge to play with her SSS teammates. What did he tell the parents of the team that he coaches ? KL. the clown.

Let's get this straight, this guy coaches a team and then he takes his daughter to another town to play state cup? Then on top of that, he plays a game on the same day that his club team is fighting for an above .500 finish. That's not possible!! Is this guy ok or just a little out there.

God bless him, that takes the cake for being the lowest of the low. Beats anything that the Florida threads have out there. Florida section is bad but this is the worse I have ever heard of someone doing at a U12 age group.

Will you people get off Portsmouth back. Botton line, they won. If you are not happy go talk to your coach and ask them why your daughter's team performed soo poorly and held them accountable. Accept that a better team beat you and stop whining. This is embarassing. The truth is the coach did not prepare your daughter or my daughter's team to play in the big game. And I am speaking as a Bayside parent.

Amen. fact is, many teams have done exactly what the Portsmouth team did this year - rostering 2-3 different players for state cup that do not play league soccer with same team. It's not against the rules. In fact, the state cup rostering rules specifically speak to it. Bayside's U11 team that won the 8 v. 8 state cup in 2011 did it, too. Quit whining.

And, I see nothing wrong with playing in 2 - 60 minute games in the same day. Kids do it in tournaments all the time.

Sure!! Thats the oldest trick in the TS book. Thanks Portsmouth or should I say South Shore trader. You are even on the MA threads now. You wanted to get noticed, well I guess you got noticed. Just a matter of time before the TS savages close in on you.

Portsmouth is a class act organization and now with this drama, you are looking real bad that you aligned yourselves with people who used your organization to get what they wanted and the Portsmouth brass let it slip right in the front door. These people were seen laughing and saying what a great deal we got. Out girls play a lot and we win a state cup. They know they will never win in MA, so they used a RI town team and at the same time these parents took the portsmouths teams best player. What a deal!! I
am sure the Portsmouth parents are happy with that.
