actually returning with 6 or 7 days a week after a long layover if kids haven't done anything or done much is worse and makes them more prone to injuries

If they have done that little at what this level is supposed to be, it is a great lesson in life .... when you get yourself back in shape, i will consider playing you.

ECNL schedules are out- did that ****hole North Council Rock get new turf yet?

According to an email the FCB board put out a couple weeks ago, they picked up a new turf field at Academy of the New Church, which is near Bryn Athrn. CRN turn is also new, apparently.

Oh good, so we should expect our 3rd weekly practice to be scheduled soon.

Listen, I think the point is, FC Bucks advertises that its ECNL program includes training 3x a week. If they dont provide this, or are unable to provide this, then they ought to say so, and perhaps provide an adjustment to our fees. With that said, if the other ECNL teams we play train 3x a week, and we are only doing 2x a week, then our kids will be at a competitive disadvantage. When you are at a competitive disadvantage, it means losing games that could have been won had things been equal. When you lose games you could have won in ECNL play, you also then miss out on important ECNL events like playoffs.

One has to wonder if this is sustainable for FC Bucks. This team was able to get some warm bodies from Lower Merion and NJ to fill out its roster for this year. If FC Bucks isnt competitive, there are now more options than ever, and it would seem likely that players would start to look elsewhere at Delco, PF, PDA, or PDA South.

Exactly and is all ready happening - best player in the 2005 age group (MS) just fled the coop for Penn Fusion - she came to bucks in the spring from merion with CM. Didn’t take long for her to figure out Bucks ain’t the place to be!

It always seemed very on-brand for FC Bucks to hire a DOC who lives over an hour a way and coaches a D1 program, and who clearly would never have the necessary time to devote to being a DOC of an ECNL club. It really is the FC Bucks way - promising one thing - looking good on paper, but never really delivering - sort of like the 3x trainings a week myth.
