The whole dad coach thing gets a little dicey when college recruiting really starts to heat up. When we start attending showcases it might be worth it to send any coaches attending our games a quick note explaining the whole dad coach conflict to help even things out a bit.

Coaches want kids with character. Not kids who can’t stand on their own two feet. Also in todays environment colleges want nothing to do with any kids that even have the faintest hint of overbearing-parent-related scandal. Seriously. Any whiff of scandal and they are looking elsewhere. No kid on this team is that good that a coach would overlook it.

It sounds like the father master manipulated everything and continues to do so. The club is at fault. The parents who were a part of the scheme sit idly by. And the daughters are the ones who will ultimately suffer.

That’s great, you mentioned the club, the coaches and the parents....must have been some deal. FC Bucks is a great club and unfortunately some people that are spreading unfounded rumors are trying to destroy it.

FACT – this team was formed in the living room of a parent (JM’s and NM’s house) at a meeting that included parents of players of the FC Bucks North Team, Brian Brossman, Rich Finneyfrock and Chris Fehrle.
FACT – tryouts were held, but 13 of 18 spots were already chosen at this meeting before tryouts were held. Those chosen prior to tryouts were most of the FC Bucks North team, Brian’s daughter and her friend.
FACT – Brian Brossman is a dad coach. His daughter is on this team. He has your basic bare-bones soccer-dad coaching license. He is not a paid professional coach for FC Bucks, nor is he qualified as such. He coaches this team at practices and at games, yet he is only listed on any official documents as a team manager. He also goes out and continually tries to recruit players at ODP and elsewhere to join this team, but is very careful to never recruit any player who may end up competing with or making his own daughter look bad. He is only there because of his daughter, who receives preferential treatment in terms of playing position and playing time because of his role
FACT – The person listed as head coach is Rich Finneyfrock. He has deferred coaching responsibilities to Brian. He has missed several games and practices due to various personal conflicts as well as conflicts with his high school coaching duties at Villa Joseph Marie. He is planning on missing several other games this season as well.
FACT - this team averages 1 practice a week. Between weather, inability to secure turf space, inability to look at Rich’s Villa schedule in advance, last minute schedule changes, and poor planning, this team barely trains and when it does train, it very rarely has full participation of all players.
FACT – Rich Finneyfrock provides little to no feedback to his players.
FACT – all of the above has caused a talented group of players to stagnate in terms of development, and has caused this team to not be as good as it could be..
