If you want what is best for your child and you are this unhappy (posting on TS for almost a year) then why not explore moving to a different club. At least for you and your daughter’s happiness. It should be about that after all.

Some parents might be happy with the situation. Let those that are happy stay and those that are not leave. I don’t say that to be mean. Its really a simple concept though.

I think you are being a little dramatic about not having a team. This age group will always have a team at bucks. If people decide to move on because it’s not the “best possible team” then that’s fine too. No one is forcing anyone to stay. Kids move to other teams sometimes and it’s not the end of the world.

I am a parent on this team and I usually just read along, posting every so often. This thread is getting out of control.

I think we ALL want what is best for our kids. It’s just everyone has a different idea as to what is best.

The back room deal that formed this team came from good intentions - parents just wanted to keep their kids together. They did not anticipate or look ahead to how this might look to outsiders particularly others who weren’t given a fair chance to make the team. A club with strong leadership would never have allowed it to happen, but at this point it’s water under the bridge. But there is no denying the deal has really hurt the future player pool for the team

BB”s intentions likewise come from a good place - he loves soccer and wants to be a coach. But he also hasn’t looked ahead as to how that affects his daughter and the team as a whole. There are not many people that are willing to spend thousands of dollars a year for a non professional dad to coach. It doesn’t mean that we don’t think he’s a nice guy but we want what we are paying for which is a professional coach. Clearly some people like having BB as a coach - and that’s fine. But looking at the big picture you have to admit his presence is NOT going to attract players to the team. Not to mention the spotlight it puts on his own kid.

We have 14 healthy players. We all want what is best for our kids. We had very few talented kids at tryouts last year and the team was fairly successful. We will not be getting any at this years tryouts if something doesn’t change, add to that we will lose people. This is something we all should be cognizant of if we want our daughters to be on this team next year. We can not afford to lose anyone especially if we aren’t going to gain any.

I don’t know what the answer is but the constant fighting and bashing of each other and the team is not helping the teams reputation. At this point the team could implode before the spring.

I really hope that someone who knows their kid won’t face repercussions approach’s DM or CF with the problems the team is having . I personally do not feel comfortable doing so.

And to be very honest and I’m not bashing him but it would really help if BB just stepped aside. I like BB and think he’s a nice guy, but at this point his presence is hurting the team rather than helping. Everyone has their own opinions about BB but we should all be honest enough to realize that the future of the team is not going to be bright if he stays on. Talented players will not come to this team with all its issues that have been well publicized. Think about it - it’s a lot of money and there are just to many teams in this area that don’t have these problems.

The team needs to change some things before tryouts occur and advertise those changes, or there may be no team next year.

I made this post trying to bring some sanity back to this thread. I hope I haven’t offended anyone. At this point everything that has gone on with team is done, it is what it is. There is a path forward but it probably means there has to be changes that some won’t like.

Let’s all try to get along for the sake of our kids. Like I said at the beginning we all want what is best for them.

Backroom deals rarely come from good intentions rather than selfish motives. Shame on your for saying or believe that. Especially when the deal involves what is supposed to be a competitive environment that costs a small fortune. Nothing good comes out of reducing competition .... NOTHING! EVERYONE KNOWS THIS ... IF YOU DO NOT KNOW THIS, YOU DO NOT BELONG HERE. CLUB ADMINS HAVE A BUSINESS TO RUN TOO .... SHAME ON THEM!! Secondly, you guys have made your bed and will have to sleep in it from the day that backdoor deal happened ..... you are not going to like the outcome. No talent is coming to bail you out without huge discount (or free) and a 180 degree change in coaching and administration of the team as well as heavy turnover in your current roster as collateral that things are changing .... in fact, I would venture to say that you have stacked the deck against yourselves and everyone now wants your team to implode because of how foolish, selfish, and petty you all were to begin with. Sorry, I am not even from PA, but find this whole situation trivial and petty like you find on a neighborhood team. If ECNL had an balls, there would be a rule that no coach has their own kid on a roster and that paid club officials (also with no children on a roster) manage the teams. FCB is letting a lot of shady stuff go on and it is terrible for business, especially when you are already a door mat. Who in their right mind would pay the amount of money they require to play in that quagmire? Are any of you sane? If your college commit list doesnt show 10 or more D1 commits every year (and then have them bear fruit while in college), then what is the point other than to tell the other neighborhood moms or the guys at the water cooler that my kid plays ECNL soccer (not that anyone else really gives a rat's *****). You people are all loons if even half of this thread is true.

You seem to have a lot to discuss by not being from PA (maybe you aren't but doesn't mean you aren't part of the club/team). And now you want to change the ECNL rules about coaches? That's rich. Hahahaha...find another club.

This club has a history of good college placement.

RF has the right to tell parents, and players, to stay off of this site with regards to 06 team. As the coach if he feels that this site is hurting the team he should be able to remove players from the team. Also, FC Bucks parents should never bring up kids on this site.

FC BUCKS need to make massive changes. They finished as one of the worst clubs in the ECNL last year. The entire club in the entire ECNL! Does having a Dad coach at the ECNL level help the club get better? Having a Dad coach at the ECNL level is a bad idea.

RF needs to get control of the team. A huge way to start is to work with the club to find a solution when he isn't able to coach. He can't have a Dad filling in. As long as he does this then it is his fault too. Run this team like a normal ECNL team, why is this so hard to do?

All the teams at FC Bucks have to overcome poor leadership, and it should not have to be this way. It is time for change! Parents should continue to post on this site about the poor leadership at the club until they make changes.

Outsider here - One positive, he's doing it. Hiding behind a keyboard and complaining/being disgruntled is a lot easier though. Step up if you can do better. Then be ready for the bozos like you to complain. Seriously though, throw in your hat.

We all signed up and paid for professional coaching so if we seem ungrateful that BB is a coach well that would be because we don’t want him to be a coach. If we wanted a dad coach we would be on a local travel team - and then we would appreciate dad coach. Simple really

It’s not just RF needing BB as a back up. RF apparently is unable or unwilling to email, use TeamSnap or engage in even the most basic communication. How many emails from BB do we get that start off with “coach rich wants .. .” Or “coach rich said . . .” How does the club handle a coach who can’t even master basic communication skills

The manager should be doing all that stuff, not the coach. If BB were just the manager then all of this would be fine. Manager and coach, not good.

Lots of people saying if your unhappy then leave. I’m pretty sure most parents are against having a dad coach and aren’t happy with the direction of the team. It’s just BB and his two buddies left defending him on here. If the club actually provided a forum for people to speak out confidentially you’d see that. Perhaps the club needs to have a secret ballot vote.

How many of the disgruntled parents, every week and ever year, are disgruntled about an unqualified, unlicensed dad coach? - cant be too many since there is only one unqualified, unlicensed, dad coach on one FC Bucks team. By the way . . . still waiting for one of his defenders to jump in an provide one positive thing he brings to the table?

There are plenty of unqualified licensed coaches. The license isnt as mportant as being able to teach the game and communicate with children and their overly protective parents. The tricky thing is a horrible coach in one person's opiniion might be a great coach to someone else. There are options go where you think is best for your kid. By now U14, they should really be the ones making the decision.
