FC Bucks 2006 ECNL - Girls

The recipe for Delco was very simple. FC Bucks is trying. but isn't willing to do what it takes. It was a good first move to get rid of RF and replace him with DC. Unfortunately, FC Bucks stopped there - thinking a new coach and DOC would solve the problem. Problem # 1 is fields - unless FC Bucks gets access to another field somewhere, the club cannot have its ECNL teams training 3x a week. It is a straight up math problem. The other thing FC Bucks has failed to do is to rid itself of BB. BB has killed the 06 age group, and is now killing the 09 age group where his younger daughter plays. Delco has only guaranteed returning players a spot with the club, rather than any individual team and will hold tryouts at some point to determine who is on the ECNL and who is on the RL team. The result for Delcos is an ECNL team consisting of the best 18-22 players they could find. FC Bucks could have done this too, but instead chose a different path - the placating the snowflake path. The result for FC Bucks is not the best team but a team designed around a carpool.

Its gonna be fun watching this team lose to Delco twice a year.

Delco's ECNL teams are locked in. They were very proactive in targeting and reaching out to high caliber kids and offering them spots. Kids who reached out to them were asked to provide film or references that were followed up on. There were no promises made and no gaurantees to current players as result every age group has added players that are legitimate ECNL players. How this plays out on the field is yet TBD but the approach was completely different than FC Bucks.

So they didn’t target kids who only played 2 ECNL games in two years? Pretty smart and BE is a stud. Delco did a great job forming their teams. That’s what happens when professionals run the teams and not unqualified dads.

Delco has multiple region 1 odp players (I heard 6), plus BE. 2 if the girls were invited to national Training centers. Not sure it will even be close this year. We need to figure out our issues so we can continue to compete. DOC is a step in right direction for sure but a lot more problems to solve.

Delco is starting "camp"/training tomorrow. There will be some ECNL spots up for grabs because the rosters aren't finalized yet.

With those kinds of players - Delco will be getting a lot of attention from the college coaches! The exposure will be significant, if your kids dream is D1 Delco is sounding like the better bet. You might want to attend the camps/trainings starting tomorrow before it’s to late. But remember your kid will actually have to earn her spot there will be no all or none deal.

I'd like to share a revelation that I've had during my time here. It came to me when I tried to classify the posters on this site and I realized that you're not actually mammals. Every mammal on this planet instinctively develops a natural equilibrium with the surrounding environment but you people do not. You move to an area and you multiply and multiply until every natural resource is consumed and the only way you can survive is to spread to another area. There is another organism on this planet that follows the same pattern. Do you know what it is?

Says the parent who’s kid was dropped to the Delco RL team in favor of the new talent they brought in. Sucks to be cast aside, you should have had your kid at bucks as long as she was part of the deal she has a spot forever - even if she hasn’t played in two years.
