Susa also went after much bigger fish-can't compare Smithtown and Sachem to Commack, Dix Hills, Sound Beach and ISA. The timing was better too...with Paul Riley touting GDA as the future of girls soccer, that ECNL badge was ripe for the picking!

I hate to say it, but without the badge you can merge with whoever you want, it doesn't matter. Just ask Kurt Kelley!

Eddie Hackett offered my club President $50,000 under the table to bring over our teams to SUSA. When that didn't work he approached some of my clubs coaches directly and offered them a few thousand dollars each to bring their teams over. I'll talk about SUSA's bribes all I want.

Interested, sure! My kid plays soccer on LI, why wouldn't I be interested in the coming and going of other clubs? Nervous, not in the least. If we hadn't already seen this same scenario play out with Surf, then maybe... but all these teams are filled with kids that couldn't cut it on my kid's team-actually I don't even think Sachem has a team in my kid's age group! So no, lol, not nervous

My kid plays for an awesome team that wouldn't even let Smithtown or Sachem players volunteer as practice cones...
