GDA would give all six new teams back if Crossfire would return. There are more big clubs “All In” announced in near future too. USSF you screwed up. Get to the table with ECNL and do what’s right. Too many “elite” clubs that are just not elite.

Are you kidding? It's USSF. They never admit they made a mistake (decisions, picks for teams, coaches, etc.). I liked GDA last year especially the older teams which had many high level kids and YNT's. This year, not so much. I'm shocked ECNL became the undisputed champ again so quickly. USSF should get involved in college more. At the club level, too many cooks in the kitchen who want their kids picked in return deserved or not.
At college at least none of the club DOC influence. These coaches want to keep their jobs so performance and teamwork is key. In club, it's about the money.

Many of the USSF younger picks don't pan out anyway. Now, you are dealing with kids that are living together anyway; working within the team system; obligated to juggle school and sports and nutrition and training/in and out of the weight room.

        Just a suggestion. Could work.

Isn’t it too late now? Would all these big clubs flip flop back to GDA again after trying it and leaving? I doubt it. Especially if ECNl switches to graduation year age groups, opening up different teams for 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th & 12th grade. That would be a straight path to college recruiting and be a death blow to GDA.

^^This. Its a crab in a basket mentality. No one wants excellence. They all want mediocrity. Im not suggesting the GDA was/is excellence. It is far from it. Excellence really threatens everything the ECNL is. A volume league based on convincing as many kids as possible that they are elite

Champ of what? continuing to churn out mediocre players? Thats the part I dont get. Unless you own these clubs, why is it cause for celebration? we are getting rolled by teams we used to beat.

Our top level players are falling well behind those in other parts of the world, but lets celebrate because the ECNL allowed Western Saginaw State to see Jane from MA at a showcase in California.

Im not pro GDA, but let all understand that our best player are the ones getting shafted. You probably dont know this because there are not many about

Which is why the industry is not organized around those few best players. No one can make any money doing that.

They never tried IT though. They realize that they could not make as much money and left. They went back to the tried and true make it as acceptable to as MANY as possible method. Thats is going to be HS, multiple games etc EVERY time.

The problem wiht the GDA plan is it only really helps a small percentage of the kids. The kids who are in huge demand

they can. just not in a volume based model. You make big money around real talent when that talent has a profitable professional avenue to graduate to. The training business is a niche for individuals.

People dont really see how badly the big Clubs are ripping them off and lying to them about their ability

ECNL became the champ of the GDA vs. ECNL showdown. I'm not talking about level of talent. I am talking about top teams, the amount of teams defecting and the level of talent, there is a bleed that USSF is refusing to triage. Even on teams that are still in GDA, many YNT's are in ECNL. They left GDA for ECNL. Last year, in particular in the older groups, nearly every YNT was in GDA. Now, many of those kids graduated on the senior teams, but those that didn't, a good amount of YNT's in GDA are back at ECNL (even if their team from last year is still in GDA). Slammers was the one that hurt USSF the most as far as defections, imho.

I don't see it. If there was money to be made as you describe, I think someone would be making it. Maybe you can be the first.

The ynt do not drive this industry. The half dozen kids that can would choose gda for that reason are not enough to drive the ship.

So then do the players also need to have a team and league it is the training enough to get them on college teams?
