I took a look out of curiosity to see how local teams are doing. Why are several NE teams playing each other out there? Its insane to go all that way to play local teams. The whole point is to play teams you wouldn't normally http://www.ussoccerda.com/sam/standi...partialGames=1

Originally posted by Unregistered View PostNE Division is weak. And, PA is not in the NE, the are in the Eastern Division. NE goes to NY no farther south. So NJ and below to and including VA are East; NC and beyond are Southeast.

US soccer under valued the importance of HS soccer with girls and tried to fit them into the boys model. If that had not been in the original setup, GDA would have quickly become the destination league for the top quality girls players. ECNL and NL clubs are now using that against GDA clubs. It is very obvious that GDA was not well thought out

- prefer high school glory
- focus on wins and not on development
- are ok when kids just scrimmage rather than learn skills
- favor athleticism over tech skills

GDA will never be the destination as long as Clubs make the decisions on who they select. Any team that professes to be elite mus t have selections based on talent. None do.

Originally posted by Unregistered View PostThat happens plenty all over the country. That's why clubs out west have dominated for so long well before GDA came along and well before the HS ban
People place a lot of importance on results for some reason long before they matter. Club soccer games are won by the deepest teams. usually its about players 4-10 not 1-3
