yeah, sure she is .... even if she is, I'd still bet a $100 that she is out by U17 and a million that she never steps foot on the senior field. I am not saying that if this happens it is by any means a waste, but I think you are lying and full of yourself and are living your life through her if it is true. I'd bet $100 you are a tool bag and all of your kid's teammates parents think so too and wont stand anywhere near you during a practice or game.

PS - You are the CT NYCFC jack@$$ arent you?

That may be very true. I think you may be surprised that there could be a few more, but for sure Kaz will look to keep the 03 and 04 players. There may be a surprise for the NT goalie on the 04's though, the new 04 ECNL goalie is quite good. The 04 goalie who played up with the 03/02 NYCFC at the last showcase is who they really want to keep

        one other issue ill raise.

Too many people seem to think that what one set of coaches or coach in the USSF (YNT) thinks defines them as a player. The NT focus is the dumbest part of all og theis and always was.

There are perennial YNT picks struggling in College for playing time and kids whom were never picked doing amazing things.

This "my kid is an NT player" or " Jane is great because she is on the YNTs" or " the point of GDA is the NT" rhetoric is overused

If you want to maximize your options in the sport - IMPROVE. Pick the situation that gives you the best chance of that and the rest will take care of itself

Exposure, college interest, Ynt selection, whatever else is a lot easier and a lot more satisfying when over time you EARN it by improving and following your own development. In the main, coaches cannot afford to ignore talent.

too many of you seem to focus on the ancillary stuff. Keep your eyes on what makes your kids better. A happy player is usually more motivated to work harder

I am very new to this but what is to stop ECNL from adding more clubs/teams in an effort to take away the players? They could easily expand, drive a nail into the GDA coffin and then move squads between ECNL and ECNL2 later on, couldnt they? If the goal is market share (and honestly quality of soccer be damned) what would stop them from doing that?

What is this ECNL2 that everyone keeps mentioning? Is that similar to the current NE Girls NPL but rebranded?

A 2nd version of ECNL offered by ECNL that allows kids to play in the fall .... theoretically would be different teams that can play in same ECNL showcases.

ECNL is owned and managed by a few clubs. Those clubs rule how it best benefits themselves. They fear outside competition, so instead of opening their doors they are on an ad campaign to kill GDA, and their players.

If GDA were to go away, some will resurface on an ECNL team and bump some of the cheerleaders out. But, they will not open up the league en mass for other teams of equal quality.

Cheerleaders? Only cheerleader here seems to be you Most of us have equal disdain for all these leagues and they all deserve it. We just pick one and play. No one is cheering any of this garbage except for ones profiting.

                      Please no. Not another league.

I'm not cheerleading anything. I prefer there be one league overall, and all of them operate in a pyramid. Don't care one way or the other. But, from what I see, there are dozens and dozens of posts trashing GDA on here.

The monniker "ECNL2" will never fly then, as no one wants to be what is labelled as the B league. A better solution that would not disrupt the current ECNL would be to just create a multi-age division for the fall that allowed clubs to field a team or 2 in that season for those players that don't want high school. Then, those players can rejoin their age-based teams in regular ECNL for the remainder of the year. The clubs have a real offering and ECNL remains the top league. Trying to do both ECNL and ECNL2 year round will still cause confusion and dilution of players.

                            ECNL2 is a terrible name.

I think ECNL2 is just the term coined here to denote a 2nd league run by ECNL that will offer training for a 10-month period like DA currently does. It is not meant as a B league, it is meant for kids that want to train during the fall rather than play HS. Any way you look at it, it is another league to split very finite resources. The exact details of this potential product have not been laid out and i dare say we are all mostly guessing here about how it will be layed out and whether or not it comes to fruition.

If you want to train in the fall, why not just play for a GDA club since that league is already established? Why do we need yet another league? There are too many leagues already.
