Oh yippee. Will we get another shiny new league to add to the list Maybe change the ages again? Maybe they could start an international league for kids instead of just national because we could all use some additional travel. Maybe an interplanetary league would be fun.

Happy New Year to you and your families. On a personal note, with regard to my medical situation, I am making very good progress and look forward to getting back on the field in the not too distant future.

Recently, we understand there are many rumors regarding the future of the GDA and NYCFC's plans for the 2019/2020 season. NYCFC is still reviewing all options, and once we have made determinations in the coming weeks, we will set up team meetings to inform you of such, and also do a question and answer session. Ultimately our goal is no different than what it has been for the last 2 seasons, wherein player development will be top priority. If you feel that we have had such an environment thus far, I am confident we will create a top notch developmental situation here, no matter what the forum or league. If there is one certain truth I have learned over many years of working with players is that excellent development is most contingent on having a solid staff, proper menu, dedicated players and unique environment.

You may have recently read that the NYCFC boys program and entire boys side of MLS are also currently undergoing their own evaluation of the DA and the future.

If you have any pressing issues in the short run, please don't hesitate to reach out.

If the WC teams pick up some strong players for the ECNL teams that is good for teh competition in that league. The NE ECNL conference is pretty competitive even with everything getting watered down everywhere. Stars and PDA are always tough.

it depends on who stays, my kid is an 04 and we are staying, not good news for the ecnl GKs from that team though....

We'll offer some sort of 2x a week training for all age groups combined, for those who want to spare themselves the embarrassment of riding the pine on their HS team after bragging for 2 years about how amazing they were because they played GDA. No. it is good for one of these leagues to be out. Would be just as well if it was GDA. Having both is bad for everyone except those making the money.

Kaz will create a training environment for all the players who don’t want to play recreation soccer for their school. Then, when the ECNL season starts, the rec. girls will find that they cant get any minutes on their teams, because the former DA girls are better players.
