HBC Impact is becoming the Surf 00 LI team. With the 01 and 02 teams being the former ISA/Atletico teams that's a pretty strong lineup.
Stony Brook University Women's coach Flaherty is officially linked to Surf with these girls. Sue Ryan, the former Stony Brook University Women's coach is also linked but in an unofficial manner. Her job with US Youth Soccer precludes her going to any games/tournaments that are sanctioned by US Club so she is more on the training and college prep end of things.
I'm actually somewhat impressed that Surf has pulled this off.

Impressed with what? Taking other club's teams in? I thought Surf would build teams based on their name and them selling hard their connections to San Diego Surf. That would have been very impressive.
Someone needs to help the U14G team. 0 GF 31 GA. Ouch.

I believe that Stony Brook is going to regret abandoning NY Rush for Surf in the long run but as an affiliate, not fully part of Surf, it shouldn't be that big a deal for them. A few hundred kids are going to have to buy new uniforms though.

Once PR gets his GDA up and running many of those girls will leave Surf for Fury. It's not personal, it's always about playing at the highest level for top athletes. Always!
