Wish parents would put more pressure on all these leagues and clubs to compete on price. Where is the value play in youth sports? I have multiple players and I am ready for it! Can some NY club please have a sale or some coupons or something.

As long as people write checks the clubs will keep charging what they charge. Only when people start leaving the sport en masse, or at least a massive shift down to cheaper options, will you see significant change. I don't see that happening any time soon. Too many parents buy the elite hype.

Spirit is better and bigger than Stars

But NY Surf is going to be ECNL. It makes zero sense for girls Surf to go to Spirit.

Looks like Westechester Surf just hired Fordham womans coach as DOC. Seems like a good start. Seems like Westchester is where they will have their success. Suffolk won't last. Too much BS and not worth it.

Well let's see if he lets my post about CEDAR STARS getting it instead of Surf. 😀
CS is in three areas of NJ, Orange County, NY, Brooklyn, and .... Staten Island!!

My kid's reaction when I told her the news: "Oh great." Her new coach has been running them into the ground (no complaints from me). I don't expect her to make it if she is nominated to try out. School is more important to her.

Actually I bet Larry already knows. "Surf will piece itself together on its own timetable ...."
