    Winners play ECNL.

We were at a "cult" like club/team (not PDA) and left and agree it is hard to do but ultimately worth it. A little distance makes you see how crazy the people were and how toxic the situation often is. Wherever you are, if the people around are awful, you dont have to suffer it just because its ecnl or ga or whatever. The ride is not long, so wasting years with awful parents and coaches, baskstabbing, money wasted, etc is just not worth it.

Agree! You have so few years with your kids - enjoy them. Make sure they are happy first - everything else second. Life it too short to have stressed out, anxious kids for your own goals.

Definitely. Leave the college soccer to those who are with PDA.

Many parents including myself have had enough. We have had it. And it’s time for change at the top.

Brand new pda parent here. When does it get bad? So far we have had clear, frequent communication, friendly , fun atmosphere at practice. The coach is accessible, supportive and seems interested. We came from a team that was so negative. This seems refreshing.

Honeymoon lasts about couple of weeks. Don’t get the child to comfortable in the PDA PJ’s and scam gear. Watch your back at all times.

I’d say the reality kicks in when the coach “feels” the players aren’t “good enough as the team got beaten up by other teams during Fall kickoff. He then starts his recruiting journey week after week.

                            That was our experience.

                              Newbie again….
I tried to pay close attention to the other players. They seem happy . Is it all an act?

Also I don’t know if it is an coincidence, but the attitude changes as soon as the last payment is due.
