A kid playing at the local town team might look at his/her friends who are playing at a "higher level" club might not feel great about it. Or they may look at their high school team and see that most of the starters play at the higher level clubs and think they won't even get a shot to play high school, so why bother? Or that they have a better shot at playing another sport in high school like field hockey or lacrosse because kids start those sports at a later age and they can be more competitive at them.

so, my kid wants to play top college soccer but doesnt want to put in any hard work. whats the best pathway. i have tons of cash to burn.
