All I gotta say kudos to the 1 parent or maybe 2 that constantly defend FA structure and strategy. I believe they are fighting for their boys by keeping the team together. I can appreciate and respect that.

Yay, you get to play the same 4 teams twice and celebrate being champions in a tournament nobody plays at u13! EDP tournaments have no real competition at U13+. Supercopa stops at U12. FC Delco tournament may be decent, but guess what, you won’t play their own best teams because they don’t play it. This is what the 2011 team has to look forward to next year. This isn’t bashing FA, its just stating the facts. Yes, playing Ecnl and MLS Next matters if you actually want your kid to develop and actually get exposure. Nobody is getting scouted or offered a scholarship because when they were 11 they won the NJ State Cup and went to Supercopa and lost. Enjoy this last year and then find a real program.

CSA is 3W - 3L and currently in 3rd place of the North East division of MLS Next. https://www.mlssoccer.com/mlsnext/standings/
World Class is 5W - 2L - 1D in the northeast division of ECNL. They are in the North Flight and sit in 4th place of 9. https://public.totalglobalsports.com...e-standings/12

I guess these scores end the 100 page chat; all the better players leave and fa teams can’t compete after u12 to bed. Lots of people have said it on here, good teams are good teams regardless of what shiny badge you are chasing or what the next soccer pathway is. The news ones always seem to be the best, we have had 101 new best pathways in this country. My kids have played in so many different best options it’s actually crazy when I think about it. Clearly the 2010 get enough competition that they can compete no problem with these teams that just seemingly pull away because they get better players or play better competition. I am sure we wouldn’t be too shocked if we had an open NJ league for all these levels and teams combined.
Years of experience and mistakes, do what is best for your player, at the end of the day a pathway or badge means nothing if they can’t improve as they just get cut!

Less than 1% of kids in professional academies become pros (and that's if you've already made it into a club like Philadelphia Union, NYCFC, and Red Bulls). Something like 5% of kids play D1. Yeah, so, why not just enjoy your time now and let your kids have fun, since this (travel soccer) or maybe high school soccer is the end game for most people, no matter how successful your 2010/2011 club team is against other travel 2010/2011 clubs in other leagues and how many miles you drive and tournaments you win.

There are more teams per age group in NJ alone. Multiple by 4 age groups, then further by every state, plus international players and the numbers actually seem optimistic at 5%. Use google and a calculator.
There are about 10 clubs in NJ who have players commit to college D1-D3. The put out a list every year. So the percentage from those clubs is much much higher, especially at the MLSN level.

My calculator tells me that’s 30%. Even if you just take the two teenagers brought up straight to first team that’s 10%.
