What team from CSA will be the #2 NEAL team, all new additions pooling in the two NEAL teams?

I have to wonder if so many people leave b/c they are promised a spot on the #1 team but never really make it there. The teams seems to have had a lot of new faces with declining success, is that a factor of new kids coming in to try and build up rosters for this year and next?
I also heard communication isn’t great but I hear that about almost every club so it’s not like it’s worse at CSA than other big clubs.

all the forms parents are supposed to read and sign are pretty clear that the coaches can move players to any team snd even older ago group if they want and parents and players have no real say in those decisions unless they want to quit which some probably do

if a parent picks a club based on a promise that doesn’t happen then they’re to blame too - every parent at every one of these big
Clubs knows or should know that there’s very little loyalty unless the kid is great and helps coach win games and helps club recruit more kids and money. If a parent picks a club bc he thinks his kid deserves the A team and it doesn’t happen then it’s partly parents fault for not understanding how good other kids are. Plenty of weaker clubs that’ll love to have a CSA b team kid and give that kid tons of minutes to win their games and trophies…

CSA recruits players non-stop and that's the bottom line. Not sure if other 2011 teams do this so agressively but CSA is known for this. They also deter and are completely against their players doing anything with RB or NYCFC. They do not believe in creating a partnership with the MLS clubs.

Completely agree but I doubt they recruit less than the other clubs they compete with players for (TSF, WCFC, others?).

I really wish clubs didn’t think this way but nothing any parent can do to change how these clubs operate - just have to grin and bear it unfortunately

Coaches?!? There was only one. I guess our kids played together. That team won EDP Futures and EDP League twice.

What?!? Maybe your son didn't play. My certainly did. It was called EDP Futures at the time. I might be wrong about the B team starting year.

My son played as well. EDP futures was u8, u9 was alliance league and then futures. EDP Futures was u10. EDP league was u11. NEAL is u12. There were no u7 teams in EDP futures. ever.

Parents will get a serious reality check after the so called preseason camp when they form the 4 2011 teams for the fall lol..

You are right, I think. My son went there at 5 he kinda started playing tournaments almost right away at sofive.

when I said coaches, I meant the 2 coaches that ran the training program 2 years before u8 (u6 and u7 I guess). it was called roots or foundation or something like that.

I think one of those coaches is still with csa but the other left before the 2011s started their u8 season and I think he's at a smaller club based in Bergen county.

if the club told parents which team their kid made and the parents accepted that, do you really think the coaches would move a kid down from one of the NEAL teams to one of the EDP teams?

Lol that's comical and naive. Do you know how many A team players get dropped to play with other teams on the weekend because the coach didn't think they were good enough to play with their own team? Once you sign the offer letter and cough up the payment you have no say in what they do with your kid.

Same here - the coaches entered the kids in stuff at so five, the armory and some other indoor place in west orange when my son was doing the roots training.

and I think a few parents did other leagues at the coliseum on the side too to get extra games in.

that group of 2011s was out of this world.

Yep… curious what’ll happen to him at Future SA since they’re combining with the NESA club.

he Wasn’t the easiest guy for very young kids to get along with sometimes but he helped those kids improve a massive amount - excellent coach overall
