Not sure why people constantly complain about STA and AS JR. I watched both numerous times and they are well trained. The fact they haven’t been wining now doesn’t mean anything. I would rather my son lose than just only relying on Long balls or parking the bus style. Encourage attacking football and allow the boys the opportunity to develop.

AS Junior teaches the game the right way. For most people it’s not possible to believe it’s really not always about wining. Go attend a AS Junior training session or watch how the boys move the ball and you will see they are being developed.
STA has a good program but they rely on being in the top flight to recruit top kids versus developing. Because they are a larger club that need the numbers they have to attract players and being in the Top flight allows for that.

STA kept is close in many games last season so I guess they have that. But AS JUNIOR ELITE was blown out in every game. Now AS used to be a top flight team that could compete against other top flight teams. If their training is so good...what has happened? That is a BIG question I would be asking myself. It does not make sense...you are a top flight team...you have good training...and you drop every year???? Something is wrong and concerning!!!!! Every year it seems they get worse...

STA doesn't train their kids please don't compare what that coach does compared to AS Jr. STA is purely a kick and run team, I hear their sessions look more like rugby than soccer.

Educated people, parents and of course licensed soccer coaches/trainers look for how a team/players actually play and move the ball versus if they are winning by 5 goals or losing by 5 goals.
why does AS Junior have such a great/high percentage of players moving on to MLS Academies??
they must be doing something right over there with the training!!!

Another added benefit if a significant reduction of a non-contact injury at a young age

STA is one of the original clubs in NJ. How can you compare the 2? It’s not fair to either club. STA is always in soccerwire top 100 and sends players to top HS programs and colleges every year. AS sends kids to Teaneck junior high.
Let the story of AS play out before you announce them as the next great club. Most likely they look to be in the same path as FA…a great building block program that has a major roadblock at U12 and players will disperse. I can almost guarantee that some of those players will end up at STA and go on to play at some very good HS etc. there is nothing wrong with that either.

AS JR is not like FA or Liverpool! ASJR stops training after U12.
there program and development system is designed to pass kids off to Academies at the U13 age group.
there is no road block it’s called the pathway!
