Even half the NY teams in the NEAL make that league look more like a travel league compared to EDP. Does everyone seriously just start switching teams? At the 2010 age group currently which is the stronger division to play in? NEAL or EDP?
So what happens? In one year will the EDP league not be good? Will all the good teams leave? Where will they go?

Many of these Clubs also participate in the USYS at U13, which is better than EDP that at U13 doesn't have a flight higher than EDP III. For some like FA, USYS will be their black/silver team league. Same for SJEB, Dutchmen, PSA and others. For some it is a league for their B or C team. STA A team becomes ECNL, STA B team is ECRL, STA C team is USYS and STA D team is EDP.

USYS has 3 levels. Academy Division, Premier I and Premier II. At U14 the top teams from the different regions and higher levels qualify for the National League PRO and other tournaments.

FA Black/Silver at U12 play up in U13 USYS Premier II at the same time they are playing EDP I or that is how the current U12 teams work anyway.

Morris Elite, CSA, FC Copa and Ironbound participate in the USL Academy league. It is new and doesn't currently begin until one of the older age groups but plans to start at u13 eventually. They fill in the gaps with USYS and EDP. I'm not sure which CSA is part of USL

Its all alphabet soup, but its actually even more diluted and confusing than most even realize.

FC Copa players are migrating to Matchfit…FA players are training with RB. Tons of movement are going to happen soon.

Why are the FC Copa kids going 30 minutes away to Match Fit? Match Fit already had 2 better 2011 teams out of Mercer.

Parents are not happy. Which is the case in a lot of clubs.

They are going to Matchfit Shore, not Mercer

RB is for serious players willing to commit to the sport 100% both parents and player commitment. Parents aren't allowed to talk to the coaches and kiss ass so this why their kids get dropped. They take time off from the sport and don't work on the side outside of practice.

I think the more realistic reason so many kids get dropped is there are 6-7 real top players and then below them there are 30-40 kids in the state at basically the same level. Red Bull selects some, gives those kids a chance to develop. If a player doesnt make enough progress in that time they move onto the new next kid that is at the same level and give them the chance to develop.

The RB skipping MLS Next fest this week. They skipped MLS next in June too. PDA and CSA both are going. Maybe RB are not as bullish on their academies as everyone thinks?

their season is over for the first team so the excuse of COVID is not as valid as it was.

If your kid is any one of the 30-40 kids in the state playing at mls next college is most likely a part of their future. It is those 6-7 kids who may have a real chance to go straight to pro but as we see with some of the kids going pro it is not the best choice.

Parents are sour because their kids get cut or don't make it and basically bad mouth the RB program. Everyone wants a participation medal, if the player is truly legit they will get picked. It is very simple, if they get picked they better work their ass off to get better and save their spot.

Don't believe the hype. Red bulls ruins more players than it helps. They don't develop players. Your better off playing at your team and developing. When your 14-16 then you go to red bulls.
