USYS has 3 levels. Academy Division, Premier I and Premier II. At U14 the top teams from the different regions and higher levels qualify for the National League PRO and other tournaments.
FA Black/Silver at U12 play up in U13 USYS Premier II at the same time they are playing EDP I or that is how the current U12 teams work anyway.
Morris Elite, CSA, FC Copa and Ironbound participate in the USL Academy league. It is new and doesn't currently begin until one of the older age groups but plans to start at u13 eventually. They fill in the gaps with USYS and EDP. I'm not sure which CSA is part of USL
Its all alphabet soup, but its actually even more diluted and confusing than most even realize.

FC Copa players are migrating to Matchfit…FA players are training with RB. Tons of movement are going to happen soon.

Red Bull selects some, gives those kids a chance to develop. If a player doesnt make enough progress in that time they move onto the new next kid that is at the same level and give them the chance to develop.
their season is over for the first team so the excuse of COVID is not as valid as it was.
If your kid is any one of the 30-40 kids in the state playing at mls next college is most likely a part of their future. It is those 6-7 kids who may have a real chance to go straight to pro but as we see with some of the kids going pro it is not the best choice.
